How many of you love candy? I’m guessing that most of you do. Do you have a favorite type of candy? I don’t know if I have a favorite, because I love all types of candy. I don’t know about you, but I miss some of the old candy they use to have. I will always remember going with my friends to a gas station to pick up some of the candy cigarettes and these candies that were hard and would fizz in the middle. Of course there were so many others I loved a lot that I can never find anymore.
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to eat some of that candy that you ate so many years ago? Old Time Candy can bring all that back to you. Get ready to bring back some old memories because Old Time Candy has all the candy you may have had back when you were a child.
I was able to choose one of their decade gift boxes. You can choose from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s or All Decades. I went with the all decades because I wanted a mix of everything from all of the decades. I got a 4 lb box full of delicious candy. The second I opened it, I could already see so many memories popping up in my head. There are a total of 70 candies in this box, which some may be duplicates.
As I mentioned earlier, candy cigarettes were one of my favorite pastime candies. I was so excited to see there was a pack of them in my decades box. I had to jump with joy because I was hoping that they had a pack of these in my box. I was completely overjoyed to see these in the box. They tasted exactly like I remembered many years ago. I can’t believe they still have them around!
I was never a fan of the wax lips, but I always had fun making them look like I had these huge lips. My daughters had so much fun with these. They loved to make funny faces with them on. These wax lips have always been fun to have around. I remember always wearing them around and being silly.
Candy Buttons were another one of my favorites. I loved to peel them off the paper and eat them. Each of these strips of paper has three flavors: cherry (pink), lime (blue), and lemon (yellow). Sometimes you’d get a piece of the paper on them, but that never bothered me. I ate them all anyways. A little piece of paper won’t hurt, right!?
Wax bottles were another interesting one. I always bit off the top piece of the wax and drank the flavored syrup. It’s not fun tasting the wax, but it sure was fun drinking them. I let my daughters try these and they really loved them. They wouldn’t bite off the ends so I had to bite them all of for them. I’m glad they were able to enjoy these because I certainly enjoyed them as a child. It’s fun to see your own kids enjoy the items you use to have as a child.
This was the first time I’ve ever had the Necco Wafers. I can’t believe I never had them earlier. They were so good! These are definitely one of my favorite candies now. I can say that I missed out on a good candy earlier in my years. I really wish I could have eaten them back then. I’m just glad that I was able to try them now. They remind me of the candy hearts they have for Valentine’s Day, but so much better.
PayDay’s were one of my favorite candy bars. I don’t see these around anymore, which I wish I did. I would love to eat more of these. They’re covered in peanuts, which I love. That’s one of the reasons I really like these candy bars. I’ve always loved candy bars that had peanuts in them. This bar has sweet caramel and salty peanuts. The perfect combination.
Life Savers were a great hard candy. I could always eat the entire tube because they were so good and you didn’t have to actually bite them to eat them. They could always last a long time.
This was an amazing box of candy! Everything brought back so many great memories. If you love candy, then you will have to check out Old Time Candy. I think you’ll find something you may have had as a child. They carry so many wonderful products. These would make great gifts too! What kind of candy are you looking forward to trying?

Without a doubt, those little wax bottles were my favorite candy as a kid.
My fave candy as a kid was candy cigarettes
My favorite as a kid was Charleston Chews!
Now that’s a hard one, I grew up with this candy! I’d say the dots as we used to get that at school – yeah, when cafeteria food was AWESOME…..but it’s a real close tie with the choco necco wafer or bottle caps, yeah…the rootbeer bottle caps! See, I told you it was too hard!
My favorite candy was lemon heads.
I really liked bottle caps when I was a kid and still do on occasion.
My favorite candy was licorice as a kid
I don’t know the name of these, but they were these saucer-type candies with candy beads inside. The saucers would melt in your mouth.
Satellite Wafers! I have never had them. They have them at Old Time Candy though!
Slap Stick suckers. if you aren’t familiar with that it was a saltwater taffy and caramel sucker that was yellow, pink, blue and white and had caramel in between each color. each color was a different flavor and then on the outer edge of the sucker there was about 1/4-1/2 inch of caramel. these were big for candy and i suspect they were more for adults. 🙂
