Does your family enjoy playing games? My family and I are huge on playing games. We usually play at least one game a day. Once my daughters get home from school they usually grab a game and play it. We always have a lot of fun with games.
I was recently sent two games from Blue Orange Games to review. The games are Draw 4: Dig for Dinos and Spot It Shopkins Card Game. My daughters and I were excited to play these games. We love getting to play new games, and we have never played these games before.
Draw 4: Dig for Dinos has the following:
Skills:
- Social Play
- Problem Solving
- Visual Perception
- Memory
Contents:
- 32 Dinosaur Tiles
- 22 Action Tiles
- Illustrated Rules
Ages 5 and up
Players: 2 to 5
Play Time: 15 Minutes
In this game you have to set all the cards out. You have to start from the middle and make your way around. You do have to start picking from around the middle first. That means once the first card in the middle is out, you can choose any of the ones that are surrounding it, which should be only four at first.
The object of the game is to get four of the cards that match so that you can complete a dinosaur. The question mark cards can have different things to do, including stealing a card from someone else, switching cards with someone, rocks that block your way and more. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins. You get different points for completing your dinosaurs. If you have two of the same you’ll get fewer points versus if you had a complete dinosaur. It’s a really fun game, and we all enjoyed it as a family.
The Shopkins Spot It! game has the following:
Skills:
- Visual Perception
- Speech & Language
- Focus & Attention
- Processing Speed
Contents
- 55 Cards
- Illustrated Rules
Ages 5 and up
Players 2 to 8
Play Time: 15 minutes
My daughters are Shopkins fans, so we knew we were going to love the Shopkins Spot it! game. It’s a very simple game to play, but you have to also be very quick at it. My daughters and I play this game all the time. Even my husband joins in to play sometimes. My oldest daughter Mercades always wants to play this game. She even had her “papa” (grandfather) play the game with her and he seemed to enjoy it as well. It’s nice to see everyone can enjoy a game with a child.
The object of this game is to have the most cards at the end. Everyone gets one card to start with, and then a card gets flipped over from the pile. If your card has one of the Shopkins characters on it, that match with the middle card, then you want to say that character. If you’re the first one to name a character from your card that matches the middle one, you’ll win that card. Whoever has the most cards in the end wins the game. It’s a very simple game, but it does make you think quick! I think it’s a great game for my girls because they can learn to process things quickly.
Both of these games are amazing. I would highly recommend them both for games for kids to play. Even I enjoyed playing them with my daughters. We always have a lot of fun playing games, so it’s nice to have some more fun games to play. What do you think about these games? Would your children love to play them?
