Have you ever been to a buffet? Buffets are one of my favorite places to go. You can pay a certain price and eat all you want. They always have a huge selection of food to choose from too. Old Country Buffet is actually my favorite buffet to go to. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have different foods at each meal as well.
I was given Old Country Buffet passes so that my family could go there and eat. My daughters and I went to Old Country Buffet a couple of months ago and they loved it. We were all excited to be able to go again. I took my father with us this time. I know he hasn’t been to Old Country Buffet in a long time, so I thought it would be nice to take him out to eat.
Once we arrived, we were greeted and paid for everything. The drinks are separate, so if you decide you want something that isn’t water you’ll have to spend a small amount for that. The good thing about getting a drink, is it’s also unlimited, so it’s really a good price. My daughters were excited about the Icee’s that they had. They always want an Icee when we go out somewhere, so that was nice to have.
All of the food was very delicious. As some of you already know, my youngest daughter Tesla has dairy allergies. She can have some products with milk in them, so she was able to enjoy a lot of the food as well. She really loved the waffle fries and the rice. Both of my daughters love their vegetables and fruit, so they ate a lot of that along with the rice. I personally really love the mashed potatoes and gravy as well as all the buns they had and the stuffing. The ham was very juicy and delicious as well. When I go to Old Country Buffet, I never leave without eating some of their macaroni and cheese as well. That’s one of my favorites ever since I went there for the very first time.
My oldest daughter Mercades was being goofy while I took her photo. She never seems to stop eating, so this was the perfect place for her to go and eat. She got to eat what she wanted and had a variety of it. Usually when we go out to eat she only gets a certain meal, which is why I love the buffets. She doesn’t usually eat all of her food either, but at Old Country Buffet she got what she wanted and ate everything.
Everyone had a wonderful time with some great food. We were all very happy with everything. I even got some nice photos of my daughters and father when we were almost done eating. You can tell from the photos that everyone was very satisfied and loved it all.
They had a wide variety of dessert as well. There was so much to choose from. Everything I tried was very delicious. The cheesecake was my favorite. My daughters got to have some sorbet that was dairy free. I thought that was really nice that it didn’t have dairy in it so that Tesla was able to have some too. It’s nice to go to a restaurant where they actually have a dessert for her without dairy in it.
We had a wonderful experience at Old Country Buffet. All of the food was very delicious and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place for a nice restaurant to eat, especially if you love buffets. It’s a great place to eat all the food you want.

We used to eat there all the time until they closed ours down. Don’t know why they left town, but we miss them!
That’s sad to hear! Hopefully you have another that’s not to far away. I love to stop when I go shopping in the cities. It’s a great place to eat.

Food makes family time so much more special!… I love it when we go out together as a family for dinner or a nice meal. It’s so important to find a favourite place too where the atmosphere is relaxed… you can actuially enjoy the food and it doesn’t cost you the months car repayment!!
I completely agree! I love to go out and eat with my family, and these buffets are even more wonderful!
I think buffets are fun because you get to try a little bit of everything, but unfortunately the expensive ones feel like a huge waste of money for me because I just can’t eat enough to make it feel like it’s worth the money. I still go to them sometimes, but not very often.

I agree! This buffet doesn’t cost much, which is what I love. It’s about the same cost as it would be for one meal at another restaurant. Being able to eat tons of different foods is always nice.
This place is new to me but I do like the variety! I will have to see if we have any buffets near us!

We have eaten here before and I love that there is always such a variety of foods. You never have to worry that someone won’t find something to eat that they love! I have to try to avoid the desserts and stick to the salad bar though – so many yummy things that it’s easy to overeat!
I completely agree! I really like the salad bar though. They have a great selection. That and the soup too. Yum!
This reminds me of old folks…which is the actual name of a place here in GA near me. They have great food for a good price and it’s a great variety. They know us by name too I love places like this

There is not one of these close to me however I remember as a child visiting buffets. My mom saved a lot with 5 children and in that 3 hungry boys!
It is a great way to save money! The kids were only about $5 or less! I’d spend more just going to a restaurant and ordering one meal. I love this buffet!
when i lived in michigan we used to eat at old country all the time. i loved their salad bar and the sweets. lol
Those are some good parts to the buffet! I love the salad bar too and the sweets are always amazing.
I love buffets and as a matter of fact my family ate at one the night before thanksgiving as we knew that we would have a lot to do on Thanksgiving day. I would love to visit an Old Country Buffet after seeing your food photos and they made me very hungry!
I love buffets as well. Old Country Buffet is my favorite! They have such great food.
I do like going to places like this because the kids don’t have to wait for their food and we don’t have to worry about them getting antsy while they wait. The food here is good too, there are lots of options so everyone is satisfied. We always make the kids take at least one vegetable every time they go up as well so we know they aren’t just grabbing junk food, lol.
I agree about the kids. My kids are impatient when it comes to food. I love that they can go up and grab their food right away.
I do not have one near me but it looks like they have a variety of food options. Eating out with kids can sometimes be a challenge so I am sure it was great for them to be able to choose what they would like to eat. I know my youngest would like the idea of a buffet for picking items that she would want to eat.
They have such amazing food. I hope sometime you’re able to go there. I know you don’t have one close by, but maybe if you go on vacation you can always check to see if they have one near by.
Buffets are awesome! My family and I love to go there and sometimes we bring our guests or family members there. I like the fact that there is no waiting time in getting your food…you basically pick your own! I also like that they offer a variety so everyone has a dish they really like. I will have to see if we have Country Buffet in our area….hope so! Thanks for sharing!

We have Old Country Buffet and love to go there. It’s a great buffet with a huge variety of things to eat and food to eat! I know my husband John loves the different cuts of meat they always have.

Is this a dessert buffet? WHy I didn’t see any rice and roasted pig and the likes? Or maybe we have different culture when it comes to buffet. In the Philippines, when you say buffet, almost all major filipino dishes are in the menu. But since I love dessert, I guess I would love it here too at Old Country Buffet
No, it’s a buffet with all kinds of foods. If you check out the photos you’ll see all kinds of other food. Fish, ham, chicken, potatoes and so much more! Of course they have a huge selection of desserts as well.
I love taking kids to a buffet, they are always changing their minds! It lets them have whatever they want, as much or as little as they want of it!
I completely agree. My kids change their minds so much too. At least with a buffet they have many options.
I have not been here for years! Anything Buffet is always the best idea with kids. You get to eat, they get to pick out what they want and everyone is happy.

I remember going to one of their restaurants years ago when I was in Denver Colorado. The selection of items was quite huge, and we enjoyed it.
