Do you burn wood? Ever have a campfire? We have an outdoor wood burner so we are constantly burning wood. I also love to have campfires or bonfires. They are so much fun! I feel like burning wood is so wasteful though. I hate using logs because I know they are from trees that are cut down. I love to be green as much as possible, so I’m always recycling and finding ways to stay green. Luckily there is a product called Enviro-Log and I have had the chance to do a review with them.
Enviro-Log is made out of 100% recycled WOCC. These logs will burn 60-70% cleaner than normal wood. They can be used for cooking, heating and recreational purposes. Did you know that every year more than 600,000 tons of wax old corrugated cardboard containers are sent to landfills? That’s a lot! It can take more than 50 years just for the cardboard to break down. Luckily Enviro-Log uses the old wax cardboard to make safe logs for burning.
You can see from the picture that the logs really are made from recycled cardboard. They feel just like wax should feel. After receiving the Enviro-Logs I later realized I couldn’t use them in our wood stove. Luckily I have a friend that has a wood stove so I had her use them and let me know how it went. The logs were defiantly burning hotter than a normal log would. They burned for at least three hours if not longer. Sounds like the logs worked out great! There wasn’t much of an odor and not a lot of smoke either. I can tell you that with the wood burner we have, it smokes a lot and it’s a horrible smell. Makes it hard to breathe too.
If you want a greener way to burn wood, check out Enviro-Log. They will help by saving waste and using that waste to make safe logs for wood burners, campfires and more. I’ve always loved to recycle and I love when I hear about a new opportunity to stay green. I’m proud to have had the chance to do this review. If you want to keep the environment safe and clean, then check out these products.
