Do you enjoy fishing? How about your children? I have two daughters at the ages of 3 (almost 4) and 5. They have never really been fishing except one time in town they were letting everyone fish for free for the day. My father had been with us that day and I had him help them fish. They really enjoyed it.
I was recently provided with the Kid Casters fishing pole to review. I knew this would be a great chance to teach my daughters how to fish. They were so excited when they saw the package. They kept insisting that I open up the package right away.
We received the girl’s spin cast fishing kit along with the kids fishing tackle: training bait pack. The fishing pole kit came with some of the sponge fish as well as a tackle box and rubber fish. I think the rubber fish is great when kids just want to cast and pretend to catch a fish. The other fish turn in to sponges once they get wet. This is an amazing set for any children that are ready to practice fishing.
The fishing pole is very easy to use since it’s just like using an actual real fishing pole. You’ll do exactly like you would do if you were going fishing. They come with plastic hooks that you can attach to the end and then put your bait on the end as well. The sponge fish and paper pouches are 100% green and biodegradable. This means that the paper around the sponges will dissolve easily.
This is the perfect fishing pole for any children that are just starting out with fishing. This will help them out when they do want to start fishing for the very first time. My daughters got the hang of this almost right away. It took them a few tries and they were doing very well. They both did very well with casting. I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to learn.
My girls kept wanting to put all the bait on the end of the fishing pole and watch them turn in to sponges. This was their favorite part as well as being able to throw and reel in the fish. I know they’re going to want me to get more of the bait since they’ve already used all of theirs.
My daughters are very happy with their fishing pole kit. They have been playing with this ever since we got it. I’m very happy just to see how happy they’re. I can’t wait to take them out fishing for their first time. I know they’re going to love it thanks to Kid Casters.
Make sure to check out my video above of my daughters using the Kid Casters fishing pole with their bait. You’ll be able to see how it changes in to a sponge.
Want to win one of these? You can enter below for a chance to win a boy or girl fishing pole and two bait kits. The giveaway is open to the U.S. only. This runs from 10/9-10/23. Good luck to everyone.

My kids love to go fishing, but my youngest usually gets left out since we haven’t found a good pole for her yet. This seems pretty perfect though so I’ll have to show the hubs. Maybe Santa will bring one for Christmas… 😉

I’d love to win this for my boys. They have their lifetime hunting and fishing licenses (thanks to my dad who gave them all that for their first birthdays) but they haven’t been able to go fishing yet. They do like to practice with fishing poles though and it would be great if they had their own poles. Of course I’d need 3 of them, but I could look into buying more than one if I won one.
