If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.
Celebrate thirty years of magic in FernGully: The Last Rainforest, now looking better than ever with a brilliant master created from a brand-new 4K scan and restoration of the original film elements! Deep in the heart of the forest awaits a paradise filled with tiny sprites, winged fairies, tree spirits, and all kinds of animals who live together in joyful harmony. But when their home is threatened by humans, one courageous sprite must give her all to save it! Featuring an all-star voice cast, including Christian Slater, Samantha Mathis, Tim Curry, Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong, and Tone Loc, FernGully: The Last Rainforest is an iconic classic for kids of all ages, presented here in a special 2-Disc, 30th Anniversary Edition!
We were not really sure on what to have for this movie, but because it’s more about saving the Earth and the land, we figured we would do some green foods. Overall I think we did a pretty good job at picking out what to have for this movie. This was mostly a healthier board too, so we enjoyed that a lot. When we think of Earth and being good to the planet, we always think of the color green, which is what inspired us to make this board green foods.
I had actually always wanted to see this movie, but I never got around to seeing it. My daughter Tesla did see it in school already though, so Mercades and I were the two who needed to watch this movie still. It was a pretty good movie too. Tesla said she really liked it when she first saw it. It was a great one for kids to see or to see together as a family. Overall we all really enjoyed seeing this one together. I’m glad I was able to watch it.
Have you ever seen FernGully before? I’d love to hear what you thought about the movie if you have seen it. I would probably watch this one again if my daughters wanted to see it. I already know my youngest really enjoyed it, so I’m sure we’ll be watching it again sometime. You can always grab a copy off AMAZON too.

I’m sure she’ll love it too.
My grandkids would enjoy this movie. I need to rent it so I can watch it with them.
It sure is a good one too.
I don’t think that I’ve seen this movie before. I’ll have to see if I can find it to stream or buy it on Amazon.
It was a pretty good one. We enjoyed it.
My son will enjoy this for sure! It’s been so long since we haven’t watched a movie together. I’ll check your list.
I’m glad to hear that. I hope you still like it.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this movie, but it looks very interesting. Seems like a classical I unfortunately missed. Thanks for sharing!
Of course! I hope you’re able to see it soon.
I’ve never seen this, but I’ve heard a lot about it over the years. Love the green charcuterie / snack board! This would be fun to watch.
Thanks! We had fun with this board.
We haven’t heard of this movie before – and are going to watch it after reading this. My daughters love anything about the rainforest
I’m glad to hear that. I hope you like it.
