First you want to take the Mod Podge and dip your paintbrush in it and cover the inside of your jar. Make sure it is all covered good. You won't need a whole lot of the Mod Podge. You just need enough for a small layer on the inside.
After the Mod Podge is on, sprinkle your glitter around the inside to get it covered. You can put as little or as much as you want inside.
Now you can start gluing your items inside. I just used a skull head inside because I needed something to resemble a face, and that was one of the closest things I could get to it.
Now you want to glue on the base if you're wanting to have it glued on. I used a spider candy dish from Dollar Tree that I found. I didn't glue mine on though, I just set it there instead so I can continue to use that again too. You can glue on any base you think looks nice. Candle holders always work great.
Now you can set your fairy lights inside the jar and turn them on. That is all there is to this. It's very simple, and you can play around with items to see what fits best for you.
