Do you love going to amusement parks? Amusement parks are some of my favorite places to go to during the summer. There are always so many things to do there. They always have the best food, lots of great rides and many other great things too. Of course the kids have fun there as well. So many things to do for everyone.

There is an amusement park called Valleyfair, which is Shakopee, MN. This is my favorite amusement park to go to in the summer. I have been going here since I was little and they always have the best rides. They are always adding new rides in as well, which keeps the place a lot more exciting. It’s nice to have a place that keeps updating and added in new ideas. I think it’s great!

My daughters had no idea they were going to Valleyfair. We told them we were just taking them shopping. I wanted this to be a big surprise to them when we got there, and was it ever! They could see some of the rides coming up and they were saying “look at those rides” and they could remember that it was Valleyfair. It was such a great feeling when we drove in and told the girls that we were really going to Valleyfair. They were so excited! The drive for us is almost a 2 hour-long drive, but we just love Valleyfair and it’s definitely worth the drive.

Parking is $12 which I think is a great price and very well worth it. We got there about a half hour early so we decided to wait in the parking lot and eat before we went inside. We made sure to apply sunscreen before we went in as well. I was able to pick up our tickets at will call and all the employees were very nice and understanding. Once we went through there were a few employees ready to take photos. You can buy that photo later on if you want. It’s a great way to remember your stay at Valleyfair.

The very first ride that my daughters went on, was the Tilter. My husband took them on this ride while my friend Nichole and I went on the Steel Venom. The kids had so much fun on this ride. I know it’s always been one of their favorite rides. They love how fast it can spin. I’ve always loved this ride as well.

Steel Venom is a rollar coaster that goes forward and backwards. This is one of my favorite rides. I really love going backwards on rides. It’s such a great thrill! It’s got a U-shaped track that makes it so much fun. I could seriously go on this ride over and over again. That’s how much fun this ride is.

They have whats called Planet Snoopy, which is a great place for kids. They have lots of kids rides here for all of the kids to enjoy. They even have this area where you can go inside a nice air-conditioned place where they have a lot of foam balls. The kids can shoot out all the balls all over the place. It is so much fun for everyone. Of course all the rides are fun for everyone too. My kids really enjoyed the rollercoaster. My three-year old kept asking to go on it over and over again.

The Kite Eating Tree (pictured above) was another one of my kids favorite rides. It brings them up and it will drop them quickly down. They have an adult ride like this which is called the Power Tower. This is just a kids version of that ride. That way they’re able to experience it just like the adults can, but in a smaller version way.

The Woodstock Whirlybirds were very fun for my children. If you have ever been on the tea cups ride than you know how this works. You’re able to spin this ride around and around. My daughters love being able to spin around fast so this was enjoyable for everyone.

The Power Tower is what I mentioned earlier. This is the adult version of the Kite Eating Tree the kids rode on. This tower has 3 sections. The two red ones will bring you down very fast and the blue one shoots up very fast. These have always been enjoyable for me. When I really want something exciting I’ll go on the red ones that go down fast. I think those are the most thrilling ones. If I want something a little less thrilling I go on the blue one that shoots up fast. You’ll still enjoy a slower ride down on the blue one. They’re both very fun.

Northern Lights is a new ride this year. This ride can hold up to 36 passengers. This ride spins as it’s traveling back and fourth on the track. You’ll be able to experience movements going side to side as well as moving forward and backward.

Valleyfair has a lot of great rides for you and your family to enjoy. I would go here every day if I could. I probably would go often if I lived closer. I’d love to get their season passes, which you can buy to go all season. It’s a lot cheaper if you plan to go a few or more times during the summer.

If you’re ever in the area of Shakopee, MN than I highly recommend going to Valleyfair. This amusement park is so much fun for everyone. Everyone always has such a great time here.

I absolutely love amusement parks! 😀 The roller coasters are why I go, because everything else makes me sick. The Tilter and I wouldn’t mix.
