Crockpot Baked Beans

9 September, 2016 by KatBp 64 Comments

It’s getting cooler out now, and fall is almost hear. That means it’s time for some great home cooked meals that are warm. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and a lot of that has to do with the food. I love cooking warm/hot foods during the cooler months. I wanted to make some beans in the crockpot, so this was a great chance to try this out.

beans

I decided to make some crockpot baked beans. I normally don’t add anything with my baked beans, but I wanted to switch it up and try something new. I’m so glad that I did this too, because this turned out great!

Ingredients:

2 28 oz Baked Beans

1 Cup Green Chopped Green Peppers

4 Chopped Garlic Cloves

2/3 Cup Chopped Onions

1 lb. Bacon

1 1b. Hamburger

How to make it:

This recipe is so simple to make. All you really have to do is throw all these ingredients in to the crockpot and keep it on low for a couple of hours. Make sure that the peppers, garlic cloves, onions and bacon get chopped up. Make sure to cook the hamburger before you put that in the crockpot as well.beans1

After you have the hamburger cooked up and the other ingredients all chopped up, you can put them all in the crockpot. Make sure to mix it all up good too. Then you can put this on a low setting for a couple of hours. It could take less or more time too. Just make sure to check to see what temperature you want it at. Mine were done after a couple of hours.

Sounds simple, doesn’t it?! That’s because it is! These beans are great for this time of year. A perfect dish for fall and the cooler weather. It’s great for starting off fall the right way.

I liked seeing your crocked pot baked bean recipe. Intriguing you use green peppers in there. That is a bean variation I have never seen before
