Christmas Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies

20 December, 2016 by KatBp 60 Comments

This is my favorite time of year! The holidays can be so much fun. Spending time with all your loved ones is always a great time. One of my favorite things to do during the holidays, is to bake. I just love to bake. You can make so many different desserts too. If you’re looking for something that is quick and easy, then you may want to check out my Christmas vanilla cake mix cookies.

Ingredients:

  • A box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles
  • food coloring
  • Hershey’s chocolate kisses
  • Powdered sugar (used to roll cookies in)

The first thing you’ll want to do, is mix together the box of vanilla cake mix, vegetable oil and eggs.

Once you have all those mixed up, you’ll want to put a few drops of the food coloring in. I divided up my batter and used red and green for the food coloring. You can use as much or as little of the food coloring you want. It all depends on what kind of color you want it to turn out to be.

Once you have the color you want, you can put the sprinkles in and mix those up.

Then you’ll want to roll them in balls and roll them in the powdered sugar. I usually make them in 1-2 inch balls, but whatever size you’d like is fine.

Then you can put them on a baking sheet. I usually only put them three across and four down. That way they’re not touching each other or spreading in to each other while they get baked. You can bake them at 350 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. They make take more or less time. Just check to see when they start to look cracked and brown around the edges.

Once they’re done, you can pull them out of the oven.

Once you take them out of the oven, you want to put the Hershey’s chocolate kisses on top right away. If you don’t put them on right away, they may start to fall off because of the cookies cooling down.

That’s all there is to these cookies. They’re so delicious too! This was the first time I had made some cake mix cookies, so I’m glad they turned out great. I’ll be making more of these for the holidays to come. I hope you all enjoy this recipe!
