Murder Takes Time Book Review

14 August, 2012 by KatBp 3 Comments

About the author: Giaccomo Giammatteo grew up in Cleland Heights, which is where most of the main characters from the book grew up. Many of the scenes were from his real life experiences. He now lives in Texas with his wife, and a ton of animals. Giaccomo said the last time he counted, he had 41 animals! That includes 12 dogs, a horse, a three legged cat, 26 pigs, and a wild boar. During the day he looks to fill jobs in the biotech and medical device industry. During the evening his helps his wife tend all the animals, and at night he’s a writer.

What would you do if you thought one of your good friends was a murderer? Would you try to track them down and find out more information, or would you just leave it alone? I was given the opportunity to review the Murder Takes Time Book by Giacomo Giammatteo.

Friendship and honor meant everything to Frankie, Tony, and Nicky.  They did everything together. When they were only eight years old they made an oath to each other. They swore to be friends forever, and never break the oath. They shared families and stole cigarettes. They always had each others backs. Things started to change after a friend of there’s died from a shooting. Nicky stayed with there dying friend, and everyone else left before the cops got there. Of course Nicky was thrown in prison, because he shot the person who had killed his friend. He couldn’t wait to get out of prison to see his girlfriend Angela again. After finally getting out, he finds out that Angela is married and had a child, Frankie is a cop, and Tony is working with the mob. He moves on with his life. Tony lets him stay at his house until he can get back up on his feet. Tony even gets Nicky a job working for his boss Tito. After things start turning out horribly, Nicky decides not to work for Tito anymore after meeting Gina. They start a new life together and get married. But, are they ever safe from the mob.

Murders are happening all over. At all the crime scenes there are clues. Frankie happens to believe those clues lead to one of his friends. He has to start investigating all of these crimes to find out if it truly was his friend doing all the murders. The murders were extremely brutal, and didn’t leave much for evidence. Frankie must choose between oath and the duty of being a police officer.

I was very impressed with this book. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the book at first, but I really enjoyed it. Everything seemed so realistic. To me, I would target this book more toward someone who is eighteen or older. There was a lot of profanity in the book. The book has a lot to do with friends and betrayal. You should always keep your true friends close, and never betray them. I don’t know about you, but I would never betray a friend. But say you find out your friend could be a murderer, then what would you do? Would you still betray that friend, or keep your oath?

If you like books that are about murder/crimes then this would be the book for you. You can order it on now for just $19.99.
