The holidays are approaching, and I’m very excited. This is one of my favorite times of year. I know many of us have children, and maybe some of them have already made a Christmas wish list this year. My daughters have already told me some of the products they’d love this year. It’s not always possible to get them everything, but I try to get most of what’s on their lists. There are already some “Hot Toys” out there for Christmas this year. I would start getting these items now before they’re gone. Nobody needs to run in to any issues like we did last year with the Hatchimals! Now is the perfect time to start getting your gifts early. I always shop earlier so that I can get what I need before they’re all sold out.
I have a list below of some of the hot toys for this year. These are not in any special order, just shown so that you can all be aware of what toys are going to be hot this Christmas. This gives everyone a chance to get them now before they’re gone. If you see anything on this list your kids want, get to your stores to see if they have them. Some of these are already hard to find!
1. Fingerlings
The Fingerling monkeys are sold all over stores right now. They’re going quick too. There is also the unicorn one, which is exclusive to Toys R Us only. If you’re after that one, check with your local Toys R Us to see if they have any. I have heard they’re very hard to find. They even have playsets for them, which again are the harder ones to find. I have seen more of the monkeys around lately, so make sure to grab one before they’re gone! These toys will make noises and move too.
2. Luvabella/Luvabeau
The Luvabella dolls are sold all over stores as well. It’s the Luvabeau that is the most difficult to find. The Luvabeau is the boy doll, and it’s exclusive to Toys R Us only. If you have any kids who love dolls, this might be the one to get. They’re more expensive than most dolls, but this one talks and moves. My oldest daughter has already put this on her wish list this year.
3. LOL Surprise Dolls/Pets
LOL Surprise Dolls and LOL Surprise Pets are very popular right now. The dolls were released a while ago, but the pets are just being released now. Some stores still don’t have the pets yet. These are probably both of my daughters favorite toy right now. They’re always asking for them, and they’re starting their own collection too. These dolls can color change, spit, tinkle or even cry when filled with water! They come in layers so that your child can pull off each layer to reveal a surprise. That’s probably the most fun about these for my girls!
4. FurReal Friends Roarin’ Tyler Tiger
Roarin’ Tyler the playful tiger has 100+ sounds and motion combinations. He’ll respond to his play toy, if you roar or make noise, he’ll respond back too. Pet him and you’ll get a response as well.
5. Hatchimals Surprise
The Hatchimals Surprise Deerolies seem to be the most popular one out of all the Hatchimal Surprises. These are only exclusive to Target. They also have the Lugills that are Target exclusive. With these ones, you’re able to hatch two Hatchimals instead of one.
6. Zoomer Unicorn
The Zoomer enchanted unicorn is exclusive to Toys R Us only. They move on their own and the horns light up different colors. You can feed them when they get hungry, and they’ll making munching sounds. They can even perform tricks like doing figure eights or dancing.
7. Teddy Ruxpin
Teddy Ruxpin was recreated, and they even have one that is exclusive to Target only. The one at Target has an all orange outfit, the others have the blue shorts, so this one at Target is a lot harder to find.
8. Tamagotchis
Tamagotchi’s are back! Do you remember these as a kid? I had one of these, and I always brought it to school. I know many would bring them to school or have someone else take care of it so that they wouldn’t die.
9. Pikmi Pops
Pikmi Pops Surprise are scented plush toys. They come in a lollipop and once you unravel them, you’ll get a surprise! Each of these are scented too!
10. Babyborn Musical Foaming Bathtub
The babyborn musical foaming bathtub is great for the babyborn babies. It lights up and makes sounds. You can give your babyborn dolls a bath in this tub.
11. Shopkins Cutie Cars
If you love Shopkins, than you’re going to love these Shopkins Cutie Cars. Some of these are already very difficult to find. I would grab any that you find now before they’re all gone. I was able to snag some of these for my daughters for the holidays.
12. Spark Kitchen Sink
This Spark Kitchen Sink is another item that is proving to be very hard to find right now. I don’t know about your kids, but mine always loved to do dishes. This is a great set so they can do their own dishes.
13. Feisty Pets Unicorn
These feisty pets are plush toys with a “stuffed attitude”. The unicorn is the hardest one to find right now because unicorns are very popular right now. Each pet changes expression from cute to ‘feisty’ when you gently squeeze it behind the ears. They’re great for a good scare/prank or just for anyone who loves them!
14. LeapFrog Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart
This ice cream cart is great for little kids that want to scoop up ice cream for customers. They’ll be able to recognize colors and flavors.
15. Oonies
Use the Oonies inflator to make your own creations. Play games, challenges, activities and more! You can create your own oonies that will stick together to make what you’d like.
16. Smooshy Mushy
Smooshy Mushy are these squishable little toys that are also scented. They’re in blind bags, bento boxes and even different types of bottles. These are currently available at Walmart.
17. Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch is one of the popular game systems that recently came out. You can play this whenever and wherever you’d like. This is a must have for anyone who loves Nintendo.
18. Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K Blaster
The Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K Blaster is fully motorized and has a high-capacity hopper that holds up to 100 high-impact rounds. Fill the easy-loading hopper and unleash a blistering blast of rounds at a velocity of 100 feet per second (30 meters per second).
19. SNES

Oh my gosh, thank you! I had no idea what is hot with kids toys this year despite having kids. Those Tamogachis are nuts! Gosh, they were huge when I was in middle school.
