Horse Camp is a great family movie. It does have a lot to do with horses, but a lot that deals with friendship as well. Kathy has always been home schooled. She never had any friends since she never got out much. She lives at home with her mother and father. She has always had a love for horses.

She’s always dreamed of spending the summer at Black River Horse Camp for girls. Her parents forbid her to go to horse camp. Her father had an accident at a rodeo and got a serious leg injury. This is why they won’t allow her to go. They don’t want anything bad happening to her.

Kathy’s parents are concerned of her social well-being. They have learned to overcome the fear of anything happening, and they let her head off to horse camp. They want her to have a social life and make friends along the way. She’ll meet a very nice girl, Lisa and also the camp’s resident mean girl Stacy.

Stacy has been camp princess, and Kathy learns that she’s not as nice as she had hoped. However, Lisa is a wonderful friend and has always been true to her. Kathy will learn the true meaning of friendship at horse camp.

I thought this was an amazing movie. I sat down and watched it by myself since my children are younger, and they are still in to kids movies. I can’t wait to share this with them when they get a bit older and will enjoy other movies. This truly is a great family movie. I think it teaches a lot about great friendship.

This movie will be released on February 24th on DVD and VOD. Make sure to pick up your own copy then.

We’ve never seen this yet. We’ve watched like 5 different horse-related movies and love each of them. I’d love to watch this too!
