Into The Woods

Do you enjoy musical movies? I enjoy all types of movies. There are certain musical movies that I do enjoy. It just all depends on the type of musical movie it is. I’m sure you have all heard about Into the Woods by now. Have you seen this movie yet?

I was recently sent Into the Woods on Blu-Ray to review. This was the first time I have seen this movie. I never got to see it in theaters. I had heard it was a good movie, so I was excited when I had the chance to review it.

This movie has a different twist on all the fairy tales you have known to love. It’s about some of the fairy tale characters that enter in the woods. Everything is different in the woods as they’ll all find out. Meryl Streep is one of the main characters who is the witch in the movie. Below are the main characters in the movie:

Meryl Streep as the Witch, Johnny Depp as the Wolf, Emily Blunt as the Baker’s Wife, James Corden as the Baker, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Chris Pine as Cinderella’s Prince, Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack, MacKenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel.

The baker and his wife set out into the woods to find some items that the witch wants. The witch had a curse that made her old, and now she wants to look young again. The baker and his wife will have to find the items within three days so that she can reverse the curse. If they can do this then they’ll get to have a child that they have always been longing to have.

Jack ends up with some magical beans that make a big beanstalk. He has been climbing up it for gold items. A giant ends up coming down because she’s mad that Jack has stolen all these items. The giant destroys a lot of the kingdom. Will they all be able to work together to fix the giant problem?

I really enjoyed this movie. I normally don’t like musicals, but I found myself very interested with this movie. I love that it had a setting in the woods and all the fairy tale characters were so different. It put a nice twist on everything.
