Do you love surprises? I’m guessing that most of you do love surprises. I think it’s always fun to get a surprise. Seeing something you get from someone is always fun. How about subscription boxes, do you love to get those? Maybe you have never gotten one before. Subscription boxes are boxes that you can order that contain something inside. It’s always a surprise to see what you have hidden inside when the package arrives.

Surprise Ride is one of those companies that have the subscription boxes. These boxes are usually meant for kids ages 6-11. The boxes contain things like supplies, instructions, a snack, fun facts and more! I was recently provided with one of these boxes to review.

Pictured above are all the items I received in my box. I got a frisbee, honey sticks, a small kit to make some beeswax candles, a Show Me the Honey book, Organic Honey Cookies and another smaller kit that contained a pail, paint and seeds for making a sunflower plant.

My daughters love to paint, so I knew they’d enjoying painting the pail for the sunflower seeds. They made it very colorful and were very happy with the way it turned out. They were very excited to be able to plant some of the sunflower seeds. We are all going to be patiently waiting to see if they grow too!

Bees wax candles were always my favorite, so I was excited when I had the chance to make them myself. The instructions were very easy to follow, and it didn’t take long to make them at all. All I had to do was take the wick and place it inside the beeswax. Then I was able to roll it up. Next I just trimmed the wick. That is it! It was as easy as that.

We were very happy with everything that came in this box. This is a great monthly adventure box for kids who love to make things. My daughters love all types of crafts and all sorts of things, as long as it involves making it themselves. This is why they enjoyed the box so much. It came with two different kits that they could enjoy making together. If you’re looking for a great subscription box for kids, than the Surprise Ride box would be a great option. You can use the code Kathy5 to save $5 off your monthly subscription.

That does sound like fun. It’s great not to have the same thing each month.
