One of my favorite Thanksgiving memories happened when I was 18 years old. I had gone home to have Thanksgiving with my family and had a wonderful time. Later that night, when I got back home, I went to a friends house where we polished off all of the pie my mom had sent home with me. That was my first holiday living away from home.

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is remembering the great times our family had together on Thanksgiving day when my Mother and Father were still here to share them with us.

My favorite memories of Thanksgiving are of great food and my family and assorted “adopted” friends around my Mom’s table. Food being passed around the table, silence for a while, and then laughter over stories my Grandmother told of past Thanksgivings.

One of my favorite Thanksgiving memories is When my kids were toddlers and were able to help prepare the stuffing by tearing bread crumbs. It brought my memories of doing it with my mom when I was little. Now I have my grandkids tear the bread and they love too!

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is of visiting my Grandparents “Ma & Pa” who still lived on Dairy farm that my father grew up on. We had the whole place to explore. All my aunts, uncles, and cousins would be there and there would be so much food we several times during the day. It was always a lot fun.

I’d have to say when I was old enough to put on my OWN Thanksgiving! Looking back, it was such a mess. But I was so proud at the time!

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is visiting my mother, we can only afford it one time a year and I bring the grandkids and great grandkids to visit. It’s the best, then we have a mini christmas with her before we come home.

The first year I cooked a turkey when I was about 17 and my grandmother was teaching me how to prep it for the oven. She told me to clean out the he insides. I replied with, “I have to put my hand in it’s butt!?” I think she about peed her pants laughing.
