One of my favorite Thanksgiving memories happened when I was 18 years old. I had gone home to have Thanksgiving with my family and had a wonderful time. Later that night, when I got back home, I went to a friends house where we polished off all of the pie my mom had sent home with me. That was my first holiday living away from home.

My favorite memories of Thanksgiving are of great food and my family and assorted “adopted” friends around my Mom’s table. Food being passed around the table, silence for a while, and then laughter over stories my Grandmother told of past Thanksgivings.
