How many of you love animated movies? Those are some of my favorite movies. I love them because they’re so much fun to watch and my daughters enjoy watching them as well. I love watching movies with my daughters. If they include animals, then we love them even more.
Have any of you seen Norm of the North? We didn’t get a chance to see this movie in theaters, so when we had the chance to review it we were extremely excited. This is one of the movies on our list of movies that we wanted to watch. My daughters and I sat down to watch this movie the day after it arrived.
In this movie Norm is a polar bear with a special gift. He can actually talk with humans. He can hear them and they can hear him. He also has a huge heart. He’s always looking out for others. Humans want to build homes in his Arctic backyard, and he’s not happy about it. Everyone including himself could lose their own homes if the humans build them there. Norm knows that he has to do something about this. He ends up going to New York City to try to stop them from building these homes.
Nobody actually knows that Norm is a real bear, since they hired him thinking he was just a normal human in a polar bear costume. He goes along with it so that he can try to save his own Arctic backyard from being destroyed by the humans.
If you’d like to find out more on what happens with Norm, you’re going to have to pick up your own copy. This movie was just released today, so make sure to pick yours up. My daughters and I loved this movie. My youngest sat down and watched the whole thing. She loves to watch movies, but she can often get bored quick with them. It was great to see how much she loved this one.

We probably watch just as many, if not more, animated movies alone than we do with the kids around. They are funny, usually have a really good message and are just more light hearted than all of the shot ’em up movies constantly coming out today. After real life drama, I prefer the animated break.

This sounds like such a great story. It’s nice to see that the animated films still come up with original ideas for childrens’ movies instead of recycling old stories over and over.

I missed seeing this movie in the theater. I planned on watching this movie once it was out on DVD. I’ll have to rent it for my 5 year old.

This is a really cute move, and it has some super funny moments. My daughter got it for her birthday and I think we’ve watched it every day since. I can think of worse ways for them to spend their daily screen time.
