Telling time doesn’t have to be boring. How many of you have clocks around the house? I’m guessing that most of us have them. What about an alarm clock? I always have to have one so that I can get up in the morning to get my daughters ready for school. I think it’s great for my daughters to also have a clock in their room. My oldest is learning how to tell time now, so this is a great way for her to be able to start telling what time it is.
I was recently sent a rocket ship projection alarm clock. This alarm clock is great for my daughters. We actually had the alarm set on it for about 6:30 in the morning and didn’t realize it. That’s the time I have mine set at for getting up on the weekdays to get my girls up for school. My oldest came running in my room that morning giving me it because it went off. I thought it was funny because she said it scared the cats. We have two cats and they often love to sleep with both my daughters. It’s great to see that it worked for waking up my daughters too.
One of the things my daughters love about this alarm clock is that it projects imagines on to the wall. They love being able to see these at night. They want the clock to be on every night, and that’s just fine with me. You can actually set it to ten or thirty minutes if you’d like. I always set it to thirty minutes and it will shut off after that. They’re usually in bed within thirty minutes, but not all the time. There are four different images that it can project on the wall. It has the moon, earth, a rocket ship and an astronaut. My daughters and I really love the image of the earth. We thought it was a very beautiful image. It’s neat to have this up on the ceiling in their room too. They love being able to see the images at night because it reminds them of space. It’s like looking at these images in the sky. It’s lovely!
You can also have the image of the time on your wall. You could even have any of the images as well as the time on your wall. They can be put together with the image and then the time will show up right over the image. I actually wish my alarm click could do this. I hate having to wake up in the middle of the night and lift my head up or get up to check on the time. I think this would be perfect for myself because I can put it right up top on the ceiling and see what time it is the next time I wake up in the middle of the night.
This is such a fun way for kids to have their own alarm clock in their rooms. My daughters have been having a lot of fun with theirs. This rocket ship alarm clock is perfect for kids of all ages. I think it would even be great in a babies room because they love to look at things, especially on the walls. I’m happy that my girls love it so much. It really is neat! My daughters are loving it.
We are learning to tell time in our next homeschool lesson. This would make it so much more fun. We just hung several solar system posters as well as some homemade planets and stars in our homeschool room – this is perfect!

I still use an alarm clock as well as my phone. I set my phone to go off ten minutes after my alarm clock. It helps to make sure I’m always up.
