How many of you have ever been at home and realized you were out of some household essential that you really needed? I’m sure this has happened to many of us before. I’ve had some of these moments before, and I always make sure to stock up on items so it never happens again. I always have to have double of everything just so that I know I won’t run out. Once I run out of one, I’ll make sure to buy more.
I recently went to Walmart to stock up on some more household essentials. Since I use so many daily, I bought five products. I decided to get Tide laundry detergent, Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper, Ivory soap, Crest White toothpaste and Puffs Plus Lotion tissues. I use P&G products on a daily basis, so all of these products are perfect for my every day use.
I do laundry almost on a daily basis. I would say I do it at least every other day. With two kids around the house, things are always going to get messy. Tide has been my go to for laundry detergent for years. It always works well on our clothes.
Brushing my teeth is something I do daily. If I don’t brush my teeth every day I won’t feel well about my teeth. I don’t like the feeling of having food in my teeth or not having smooth teeth. I can tell when I need to brush my teeth. Crest 3D White Luxe is a great product for brushing your teeth. If you want to try to keep the stains away from your teeth, then this would be a great option. It does foam up when brushing. I actually have very sensitive teeth, and this product works great for me. I haven’t had any problems with it while brushing. Sometimes with a toothpaste it irritates my teeth because of how sensitive they are. I was really surprised that this product doesn’t bother my teeth.
Puffs Plus Lotion is my go to tissue when I need something soft for my nose. With two daughters, I want them to have the best product for their nose as well. Lately we have all been feeling like we’re starting to get sick, so these have been coming in handy. I’m sure I’m not the only one, but when I have run out of tissues, I go to toilet paper for my nose. That is a horrible idea. Toilet paper leaves your nose dry, red and sore. I will never let myself run out of Puffs Plus Lotion again. This tissue is so soft on your nose and it won’t leave you sore. That was one of my avoid the oops moments too. I seem to always forget to grab some tissues, when I’m slowly running out. I was able to get a big pack of them at Walmart, so I know I’ll be good for a while. Since I know we use them often, I’ll be buying more of the bigger packs from now on as well.
Have you ever been in the shower and realize you’re out of soap? This has happened to me a few times. It’s not fun when you’re already in the shower and you have no soap on hand. Shopping in bulk is a great idea so that you don’t run out of products quickly. The Ivory soap is a wonderful smelling soap that works great on the skin. This product is one of my favorite smelling soaps too.
One of the things I never want to run out of, is toilet paper. How many of you have went to the bathroom and realized that you had no toilet paper left? I’m sure this has happened to many of us before. I am always stocking up on toilet paper because I don’t want that to ever happen again. I must have at least 2 packs of toilet paper in the house because I don’t like getting lower than that. Once one pack is gone I always go out and buy another so that two are always in my home. It’s not fun when you go to the bathroom and end up not having any toilet paper left, or may even just having a few sheets left on the roll. This is one of the avoid the oops that you really do want to avoid.

I tell you, i am so glad I live like 2 min from our walmart, as I go all the time. They always have just what I need, especially the essentials you mentioned

We keep a stock of toiletries in our home at all times. If I get to the halfway threshold on anything, I’m off to get more.
That’s exactly how I feel. I can’t go without having a lot of toilet paper in the house.

I find buying in bulk cuts down on those oops moments. Of course remembering to put the TP in the bathroom so I always have an extra roll, not always so good at it.

I love stocking up on products, it is the worst to run out!! Toilet paper with three kids is the worst to run out of.

All of these items are essentials. It is a very good idea to stock up on them as you will always be using them. We do the same!!

I hate when I run out of something and have to load the kids up to go get it! I’ve actually been using Walmart.com a lot lately to avoid those oops moments and it’s been a lifesaver more thank once!

I am terrible at remembering when we are low on toilet paper and paper towels. That’s why I love to buy in bulk from either Walmart or Sam’s Club.
I love buying in bulk as well. It’s a great way to not run out of products.

It’s so irritating when a household staple runs out and I didn’t realize we needed it while I was out shopping. Especially toilet paper! Stocking up is the best way to deal with that!
It sure is! I love stocking up and making sure I always have products on hand.
My moment was many years ago when I was moving. The movers came and I had no toilet paper for them to use.
O no! I bet that wasn’t good!
We run out of toilet paper all too often. Then we have to resort to using tissues instead. I need to start stocking up!

If I get down to 3 rolls of TP, I start to panic. I never want to be without that! I’m with you on stocking up on all this stuff.
That’s how I would feel! I need to have a whole package at least though.
PuffPlus lotion is such a good facial tissue! I often have a runny nose (all thanks to my seasonal allergies) and this is one brand I purchase most.
That’s one of the only brands I’ll buy. It’s so soft on your nose and we love it!
I love stocking up when ever I can!! I love that Crest toothpaste it is my favorite toothpaste, I would be so mad if I ran out of it so I keep a couple tubes on hand at all times.
That’s how I feel. I always try to keep a couple tubes of toothpaste around too.
It’s good to be able to stock up on supplies. I hate running out of toiletries or any cleaning products especially when it comes to my laundry. I make sure I always check my stock and buy in bulk if I can.

Running out of TP and paper towels is the worst! Being stranded in the bathroom without these musts sucks!

I have oops moments pretty regularly. My husband and I both work and go to school so sometimes the wires get crossed of who is supposed to get what. One time we ran out of toilet paper in the middle of the night. It was bad. We had to run to Walmart asap! Thank goodness the one near us is 24/7.
You’re lucky you have one nearby. I wish mine were closer, but it’s about 15-20 miles away.

Ivory soap is also great for making your own laundry detergent. It’s great for science experiments too – microwaving it yields awesome and interesting results.

I would be lost if we didn’t have one of these essentials in our home. We have lots of guests during the summer, so Toilet Paper is definitely not something I need to be running out of!

I never get in the shower and realize I don’t have soap. Now finding the shampoo bottle empty – that’s a different story.

I have always stocked up on these type of products. Walmart is great for stocking up on these products so there is no whoops moments. Growing up though with 5 girls in the house plus a couple more girl friends we did run out of tp a few times and has to use tissues. Thanks for sharing the ideas.

I always make sure I have a good stock of cleaning products at home, it saves time and money. It’s so good to know that you can now purchase them online! That’s really convenient!

Thanks for recommending a good brand for tissues. I’m doing the same with my own toilet paper and it does feel “rougher”, now that I think about it.
Charmin is such a great brand for toilet paper. It’s very soft.
Yes, everyone has had a moment when you realize at the wrong time that you are out of an essential that you need. It is important to try to avoid it when possible, but it does happen to all of us.

You always have to have all these products. I shop a lot at Walmart looking for the better deals and trying to get out of the store without spending an arm and a leg. These products I use for my family and love them! Great post!

Puffs plus lotion is so nice when you are suffering from a cold or allergies. My nose never dries out when i use them.

Paper towels are the things that I run out of most. I have had the occasion for some groceries but the other big one is toilet paper but there has always been a roll in the other bathroom.
Paper towels is another one. I use them all the time.
I always realize we are out of toilet paper, when I need it the MOST! Luckily we don’t live that far and thankfully my husband is usually home when we realize we are out of toilet paper.

I actually ran out of toilet paper the day. I don’t even know how that happened. Good thing I keep a pack of baby wipes in my bathroom or I would have been SOL.
