I still can’t believe that school is approaching quickly. I know that for some, school has already started. My daughters will be going back to school at the end of this month. There is so much to do when you’re getting your kids ready for school again. It can be tough to get back in the routine of school as well. You have to get all your children’s school supplies, buy new clothing, get their lunches ready, and a lot more.

While being a busy mother, it can get tough to get back in the routine of school. I have to make sure I get my kids up on time, get them on the bus, and get ready for work for myself as well. I have a few tips that I use for when I get my kids ready for school each year after their summer vacation.

TIPS:

*About two weeks before school starts I get my kids on a bedtime schedule for school. I want to make sure they’re getting use to going to bed early again. My daughters get up at 6:30 on school days, so I have them go to bed at 7:30-8 on a school night. I think it’s important to have kids start getting to bed earlier before school starts. This will help them get back in the bedtime routine for school.

*Get kids clothes set out the night before. I always make sure to get my girls outfits out the night before. This makes it easier so you’re not wasting all that time in the morning to get their outfits ready. My girls choose what they want to wear to school, so I help them out the night before. We always set them out on the couch at night, that way when they get up they can grab them and get dressed right away.

*If your kids get home lunches, pack them the night before. My daughters usually eat school lunch, but sometimes they’ll eat home lunch. They usually have home lunches when there is something at school that they don’t like. I find it way easier to get these lunches prepared the night before. This also saves on time in the morning.

*Plan your shopping. When shopping for school supplies and clothing, plan ahead. You can check out for the best deals online or in some of the flyers. I personally love to save money, so I try to find the best deals around. I make sure to make a day of school shopping so that I don’t have to drive back somewhere to get anything. I get all my school shopping done in one day.

*I also love having snacks available for my girls for after school. They’re usually hungry when they get off the bus. It’s great to have something ready for them when they get home from school. Sometimes I’ll have fruit or veggies cut up and put in the fridge til they get home. Other times I have some other snacks that are ready for them. It’s nice to have all these ready for when they get off the bus each day.

Nature’s Harvest bread and Entenmann’s Little Bites snacks have teamed up to help you prep lunchboxes for your kids that you can feel good about and they will love. You can easily pack a great lunch for your children with these products. We normally do sandwiches with the Nature’s Harvest bread. I’ll get creative and make something for my daughters. I think when you get creative the kids will be more likely to eat it. I’ve done all kinds of things, including a fish that I did more recently. The Little Bites Snacks are a perfect snack to go with their lunches. I believe there should always be a great snack with the lunches, and these Little Bites Snacks are perfect. My personal favorite is the blueberry ones.

Right now you can enter in the “Life of the Lunchbox™” $10,000 Savings Bond sweepstakes. You’ll have the chance to win a $10,000 savings bond. You can enter HERE for your chance to win.
