Telestrations & Blank Slate Games Night

Family game nights are always a hit in our house. We enjoy playing games together. Often we will invite friends and family over to play games as well. Sometimes we even go to others houses to play games as well. Whenever we have a get together, games are almost always played. No matter who is hosting, we always make sure to bring games along. Both kids and adults enjoy them a lot. It’s always fun to get together with friends and family for some great games.

My daughters and I got together with some friends and family so that we could host a fun game night together. We recently tried out the games Telestrations and Blank Slate. Both of these games are so much fun. We all had such a blast playing these games. Everyone played these games multiple times because we really enjoyed them a lot.

Blank Slate

*Recommended Age: 8+
* Number of Players: 3-8 players
* Play Time: 20-35 minutes
* Includes: Score Board, 8 Dry-Erase Slates, 250 Double-Sided Word Cue
Cards, 8 Dry-Erase Markers with Erasers, Rules
* Description: Pick one of over 250 Word Cue cards (with 500 total cues),
write the word you think best completes the phrase – and try to match it
exactly to another player’s word without giving a single hint.

Blank Slate

You will need at least 3 people to play Blank Slate. I find this game to be more entertaining with more people. We had a good amount of people playing this game, and it was so much fun. It’s almost like a guessing game to see if you can match up your words with someone else. On each card there will be a blank line either in front or behind a specific word. You have to fill in that blank. For example, there is a blank line before the word guy. Now you have to think of a word, and in this case we could use the word Family Guy after the T.V. series, or maybe Fly Guy after the movie. You want to hope to match up with at least one other person to earn points.

This game is actually very simple and a lot of fun. This has definitely become one of my favorite games now. I love being able to fill in the blanks when it comes to words. It’s interesting seeing what everyone comes up with too. I have played something very similar with my kids before and we always loved it, so I knew this game was going to be a big hit with everyone. We have played this multiple times already. It’s such a great game and so easy to play.

Telestrations is all about drawing and trying to figure out what the person has drawn. I absolutely love games like these, so this was definitely a fun one for me. Everyone else that joined in on this game said they had a lot of fun as well. We were all having a lot of laughs trying to figure out what everyone drew and then seeing in the end what all the guesses were.

Telestrations

Everyone gets their own card in this game, and on those cards it will have different things to draw. Depending on what the number is rolled from the dice, that is what you will be drawing. Sometimes you may get lucky and get to draw something of your own choice, or even get to pick anything off the list. It all depends on what you roll as well as what’s on your card. If there is a little guy at the bottom of your card, you get to choose anything off the card to draw. If yours is underlined, then you get to draw anything from that category of your choosing.

Everyone really got in to the game of Telestrations. During one of the rounds, everyone did so well that almost everyone got all of the photos correct with their guesses. I guess we’ve got a lot of wonderful artists! You don’t even have to be good at drawing to play. (I sure am not), It’s still such a fun game to play whether you think you can draw or not. You don’t need any art skills at all to play this game, and that’s what is so fun about it. Everyone is an artist in their own way, and this game lets you show it. 

Great Game Night

Everyone had such a great time at our game night. I know many people who already want to get these games since they loved them so much. I hope that everyone enjoys playing these games as much as we do. When it comes to family time, we always bring out the games. These are going to add more fun to our family game nights. We always enjoy getting newer games and playing them with our friends and family. This is always a great way for others to see whether or not they enjoy the games before getting them for themselves too.
