What Makes My Mealtime Saucesome

4 May, 2015 by KatBp 113 Comments

Disclosure: I received coupons for Ragu sauce so I could make a recipe. The opinions are all 100% my own and may differ from yours.

My daughters and I love to cook in the kitchen. It can get very messy in our kitchen with the children, but we all have so much fun. We don’t mind that it gets messy. As long as we are having fun, that’s all that matters. How about you, does your family love to cook in the kitchen too?

We always make our mealtimes saucesome. Wondering what saucesome might be? It’s what makes our family meal times so great! It’s always fun, silly, crazy and loving during our meal times. One of my favorite meals to make, is Chicken Alfredo. I have always used the Ragu Classic Alfredo sauce when making my recipe. This time around I was able to make a spin on the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo recipe from Ragú®.

ragu

Ingredients:

  • 2 Jars Ragú® Alfredo Sauce
  • 12 oz Bag of Egg Noodles
  • 2 Cups Frozen Broccoli
  • 1 Can of Corn
  • 8 oz. Shredded Cheese ( I used Marble Jack)
  • 4 Pieces of Frozen Chicken

Instructions: Cook up the noodles according to the package. Also cook the chicken and broccoli up. I always cook my chicken over the stove, but you can always bake it if you’d like. In a 13×9 inch casserole dish, pour the noodles, corn, broccoli, Alfredo sauce and chicken in. Mix them all up. Sprinkle all the shredded cheese over the top. Next you’re going to want to put the oven on 350 degrees. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Serve and Enjoy!

silly

My daughters and I had a lot of fun making this recipe. We are always being silly when we make recipes. My daughters love to eat noodles when I cook them, so I always let them have a few of them before finishing off the recipe. This is exactly what makes our meal time saucesome. Just having us all cooking together and being silly is what we love. As  you can see from some of the photos, I let them help pour the ingredients in the dish. They even used the noodles to make mustaches! How silly!

Ragú® Classic Alfredo sauce has a delicious taste your whole family will love. My family enjoys using all the Ragú® products, especially the Classic Alfredo. It’s my husband and I’s favorite sauce. In fact, I’d have to say that Chicken Alfredo is one of our favorite recipes to enjoy as a family as well. My youngest is allergic to dairy, so she’s unable to eat this, but we always use the other Ragú® sauces for her so she can enjoy dinner as well. We usually use the Ragú® Traditional sauce for her. She loves it!

alfredoNo matter what we make, we always have a great time doing it. It’s always full of fun and laughter. My daughters will help me make anything, as long as they get to help out. They love being in the kitchen to help me out. We all had so much fun creating the Alfredo recipe. I let my daughters put in all of the ingredients as I mixed them together. Pouring and mixing in the ingredients is one of their favorite things to do.

IMG_5316

Thanks to Ragú®’s Classic Alfredo sauce, our recipe turned out delicious! This was definitely a different twist on the Alfredo we normally make. We will be making this more often as we all enjoyed it so much. It’s great to have family meal time with those that you love. It’s even more fun when you can be silly!

You can make your meals more saucesome with any of the Ragú® sauces. Ragú® is recognizing and celebrating everything that makes family mealtime Saucesome. From unique recipes to silly moments to crazy weeknights…it’s all Saucesome with the delicious help of Ragú® Sauce. Have you ever used Ragú® sauce in any of your recipes? I’ve always enjoyed the Ragu sauces but I didn’t realize they had an alfredo! Would love to try that in a dish! Your casserole looks tasty by the way!
