Unlike us, 80% of their bodies are water, which means to stay hydrated, they should receive 1 oz of water daily per pound of body weight. We have two 16 month old brother kitties, Buster & Charlie. They spend most of their time in the house, and when it’s beastly hot, I always have fans going
I make sure they have plenty of fresh ice water at all times. This Drinkwell 360 Multi-Pet Stainless Steel Fountain looks great…I’d love to have one!
We have a Lixit outisde for our golden, Chessie. Plus, she has a nice big bowl in the house. Another way we make sure she gets enough water is to put a cup in with her food.
My 3 cats have 2 water dishes. I change the water every day but if I forget they sit next to the bowl and stare at me!
If my dogs are outside we make sure they always have water. We also freeze water bottles for them to chew on.
I have a three year old cat named Coo Coo. I keep her hydrated with a 5 gallon fish tank. It keeps the water clean and cool for her. I was going to get a fish but she likes the tank so much that I just keep it running for her.
I have a large Butter dish that I fill up 2-3 times a day for our 4 cats! They drink tons of water! And they want it fresh, standing at it looking at me when it gets low or discolored!

I refresh their water several times a day.
