What you can do to help fight those that are in need of diapers.

Did you know that one in three U.S. families struggle to provide clean diapers for their baby? For the third year in a row, Huggies® Every Little Bottom and Meijer® partnered to help fight diaper need and empower shoppers to give back. It’s hard to hear how many are hurting just for some diapers for their little ones. It’s very important for babies to have the right diapers on. Luckily Huggies and Meijer partnered together to help fight the diaper need.

Huggies and Meijer Fight Diaper Need with Help of Michigan Parents

  • Kimberly-Clark first brought the issue of diaper need to the forefront in 2010, when the groundbreaking Huggies Every Little Bottom study revealed one in three U.S. moms suffer from the inability to provide fresh, clean diapers for their babies.
  • For the third year in a row, Huggies® Every Little Bottom and Meijer® partnered to help fight diaper need and empower local shoppers to give back.
  • For every pack of Huggies that was purchased at Meijer from November 1, 2015 through January 2, 2016, Meijer pledged to donate one dollar and Huggies donated enough diapers to diaper a baby for a day to the National Diaper Bank Network.

Thanks to loyal Meijer customers, Meijer and Huggies will donate $10,000 and 150,000 diapers to help diaper babies in need throughout the Midwest.

How can you help?

Parents can also help fight diaper need by visiting Huggies.com/rewards and donating their Huggies Rewards Points. There will also be an event where you can celebrate and help out.

Event details:

o   Date: Tuesday, March 22

o   Time: 10 a.m. ET

o   Location: Nestlings Diaper Bank (650 Riley St. Suite L Holland, MI 49424)

I hope that you’ll join Huggies and Meijer by helping fight diaper need!

Diaper need is a serious problem. The price of diapers is constantly rising, and minimum wage is not. I love the idea of donating your points in order to help those in need.

Wow, diaper need is a pretty serious problem. I had to re-read the first section because from the title I thought it was saying you wanted to fight the people who have the need, not fight the need! Gah, obviously I am losing my mind. How great that Huggies is helping fight this problem.

Wow it’s so awful that 1 in 3 moms struggle with access to diapers. They are so terribly expensive. I saw a chart a few weeks back showing that for parents who make minimum wage they spend 14% of their total income on diapers. That is such a high % of income for something that we just throw away.

That’s neat that Huggies & Meijer are helping give diapers to those in need, but they could also lower the prices. We were blessed enough to be able to cloth diaper (old fashioned, not the $300 kind) and breastfeed, but the prices of essential baby items for those who cannot do that is ridiculous!
