We all know how expensive bills can get, but it’s part of life. If you own your own home or rent, you know you’re going to have bills. Some of these are those we must pay, and others may be just for entertainment. I’m sure that many of us have cable, or some other way of getting T.V. I actually just moved in to a home about two months ago. I never did get cable, because where we are, the prices were just far to expensive. We normally watch Hulu or Netflix (from a friend’s account), so it’s not a big deal for us to have cable.
My husband and I have been thinking of buying an antenna so that we could watch some of the channels that way. We would only have to pay a one time fee, and we could watch all of those channels from the antenna. It’s a great way to be able to have some channels to watch instead of paying monthly bills.
Not long after we were talking about this, I received an email about Leaf 50. This came at the perfect time! This is an indoor HDTV Antenna. Most antennas are meant for going outside, but not this one. I really liked that about it. Below you’ll find a list of a quick overview of this product:
- Same warranty policy as new antenna!
- Amplified with Clean Peak™ filter technology: most sophisticated amplifier on the market that removes unwanted RF signals and boosts the ones you want
- From the makers of the best-selling Leaf Antenna
- Modeled after a discreet mud flap antenna designed for the U.S. Military
- Most reliable and innovative antenna on the market today
- Reversible and paintable to match décor
- Easy to install
- Original amplified paper-thin antenna
- 16 ft high performance cable included
- Multi-directional: No “pointing” needed
- 50 mile range
Setting up this product was so easy. I honestly didn’t know that I would be able to do this myself, but it was so easy, that I was able to do it without any help. If you keep moving it around to different spots, you may find more or less channels too. I like to move mine around to figure out where the best spot was. I do find it easier to have it closer to a window. For me, that seems to be the spot with the best reception and more channels as well.
I’m always happy to just get a few channels, and mainly the channels with the news, which I always get. I’ve gotten close to thirty channels with this at most. It’s nice to be able to get the news channels again. I can see what’s going on around the world, and I won’t have to miss it if my daughters end up being delayed or having no school.
This product is also ready for when a storm may hit. I can remember being in places with satellite, and when there was a storm, it lost signal a lot. It’s not fun when you lose signal. You’ll still be able to stay informed with access to local weather, news, emergencies and school closings with the Leaf 50. That’s another wonderful thing about this. You wouldn’t want to miss out on anything important just because it may be storming in your area.
I would recommend this product to anyone that would love to be able to still watch some T.V., but not to be able to have to pay such high prices. I’ve looked through a few options around my area, and for me, none of them are even worth the prices you pay monthly. It’s actually very crazy to have to think about paying those prices just to watch some T.V. This is why the Leaf 50 is such a great option.
Are you paying too much for your T.V.?

Right! It’s great.
My family too survives on just on Netflix. We had cable but it was too much. This sounds like a great alternative.
It’s great to have other options like this. For one price it sure is worth it.
Now a days all new technologies are very amazing. It is a great alternative option.
It sure is!
We have a similar antenna in our spare room. We don’t have cable and the antenna is great for keeping up with the latest news.
It sure is. It’s nice to not have to pay outrageous bills for cable either.
I don’t even use cable anymore. I stream everything through Hulu & Netflix and we also have an antenna! So much cheaper.

It is a lot cheaper. It’s been great!
Looks like you’re getting good use out of it. We don’t pay for cable. We only use subscriptions like Hulu.
That’s how we were til we got this antenna. It’s certainly nice to have around.
An indoor antenna? This is interesting. I can live without a cable subscription, but my husband can’t. Lol. I will check this out.
I’m surprised my husband has been okay with it. Now that we have a few more channels, it’s a lot nicer.
I have seen these amplifiers before and wondered if they really worked? I guess they do! I need to tell my sister about this!!
They are great! It’s nice to have some more channels now.
wow!!! Antennas have come a long way. I am a child of the 70’s who remembers bunny ears and aluminum foil. What a great alternative to cable.
I remember those as well. I never had them, but still can remember them.
Wow, what a cool gadget. I think it’s definitely worth it and it’s good to know that it’s there when a storm hits.
It is nice to have. We’ve had rain/snow not long ago, and it still held up. I was surprised.
I’m definitely going to have to look into this! We love netflix and watch that a lot, but not so much TV. Yet we need to keep it for a few channels the boys like.
Same here. That’s why I like being able to have a few channels to watch, especially the news.
Wow this is really cool. I have never heard of this before but I may have to talk to my husband about this, it sounds great!
It is great! I love being able to have some channels to actually watch now, especially the news.
We are moving in a month and I need something like this for our apt. We have an antenna in our attic now and can get a few stations over the air.
This is really great to have too. It’s nice to have a few extra channels to be able to watch.
I will have to look into this for my house. I would love one for the cottage as well.
That sounds like it would be great for a cottage!
I gave up cable a few years ago so this is right up my alley.
I think a lot of people gave up on it. Cable is just to expensive now days.
We only stream our television, and unfortunately we live way out in the sticks, so an antenna never works for us.
That’s to bad. This one I have has a 50 mile radius, so if you live anywhere within 50 miles you may still get some channels.
The Leaf50 looks like a great antenna. We have something similar in our home and it works great!
That’s great! I think a lot of people are now switching over since it’s a lot cheaper.
We have a similar antenna in our guest room. But we never use it! You’ve inspired me to check it out how it works!
You should! They’re nice to have for a few channels, especially for the news.
We also have a Leaf 50 that we used to use in our bedroom. We no longer use it since adding satellite in there but it was pretty handy!
They are really nice to have. I don’t usually watch much T.V., so it’s perfect for me.
I have tried to get the husband on board with cutting the cable bill but he doesnt want to miss his sports lol
Depending on the sports, you can still watch them with the antenna. I’m still able to watch football.
We went with a good OTA antenna and streaming as well and will never go back.
I think it’s a great decision too! Cuts down on bills a lot.
wow.. sounds like a great device! I have to tell my husband about this! We have no cable
I think it’s great for the price. To be able to pay the one time and have channels forever is nice.
It’s been storming here like crazy. I could use one of these right now. I’ll check them out.
Great! It’s really nice to have when you want a few channels.
