National Random Acts of Kindness Day is coming up on February 17th. This is a movement which is growing in popularity across the US and potentially needed more than ever during the COVID-19 era. I’m excited for this day myself. I think it’s great to do random acts of kindness whenever you can. It’s even better that they have a day dedicated to this. With all that has been going on around the world, we could all use some kindness.
Surprise Your Loved Ones
One simple and low-cost way to remind others that you care is by surprising loved ones with their favorite Sour Punch and Red Vines candy as a unique way to demonstrate “I care about you.” If you want to spread the love a little further, why not gift a neighbor you’ve not spoken to for a while or drop a package off to a local healthcare worker? The idea is to consciously make an effort to do nice things for others during the 17th February, and share your random acts on social using the hashtag #RandomActsOfKindnessDay – it can be as straightforward as a compliment.

Gifting the Neighbors
I am very excited for Random Acts of Kindness day. I’m going to have my kids get together something for some of our neighbors. I think getting a fun treat basket with some of the Sour Punch and Red Vines products will make a great basket for our neighbors. I’m sure they’re going to really appreciate this as well. We have many other things planned as well. There is so much you can do to be kind towards others. You can simply tell them how nice they look or gift them a little gift or treat. It doesn’t even have to be anything, but a compliment to make them feel great.

One small act of kindness can really help make someone’s day. My family does a lot of random acts of kindness throughout the year. Whether it’s having others keep the change to give back to someone else, or donating toys and food to those in need, it all helps. Just to see the smile on someone’s face when you do an act of kindness is what I love to see. It brings so much joy.

A kind word every day is something we all can manage.
Random acts of kindness remind me to be kind to someone I do not know, yet can be respectful of and kind.

Yes, definitely!
This post makes me think that i should always be mindful of others and do kind acts just because it is nice in our society. I am a big fan of Red Vines licorice and would buy it in an instant
I agree too. It’s great to be able to be kind towards others always.
I need to think of something that I can do from home. As it is very cold outside today.
It’s very cold here as well. It’s hard to want to go anywhere.
This is my kind of day! I love random acts of kindness. I wish more people would do it.
I agree as well. It’s nice to be able to help others out.
I love doing random acts of kindness. It’s hard these days because we are staying home, but I still try to do what I can online.

I always try to do acts of kindness. Sometimes its buying coffee for the person behind me in line or picking up groceries for the neighbor.
Me too. It’s great to help someone.
If the kids got candy as a gift, they would be THRILLED. Mama wouldn’t be too down and out about it either *wink wink*.
I know what you mean haha. I love doing random acts of kindness though, even if it’s for my kids as well.
I forgot all about Random Acts of Kindness Day. Thanks for these suggestions!

It’s a beautiful excuse to be more kind at least for a day! We need to do it more often!
Yes, for sure!
I was in a huge pay it forward line that day. What an awesome way to show others love.
That’s awesome. I love to hear that.
Random acts of kindness are really great for the soul! I would like to do things to help my neighbors.
I completely agree. My kids are always giving our neighbors things. They are so sweet.
This post reminds me that being kind and doing kind things for others make your heart smile. I love to donate to various organizations in our local area.
I love being able to help out others as well. It’s always a great feeling.
I like the idea of random acts of kindness. I don’t like all of this pay it forward stuff, when many of us can barely afford to pay for our own stuff. When you do something kind, you shouldn’t post it on social media or call the news crews to show off what you’ve done. Unfortunately, that’s the trend these days, but doing small things to be nice can really cheer up someone’s day, both the giver and the recipient.
I completely agree as well. I think it’s wonderful to do something simple and kind for someone.
