Easter is right around the corner. If you’re looking for some fun Easter basket ideas, I have something that I have always found fun and unique for kids. It’s an umbrella basket! You can fit so many things inside too. Sometimes regular baskets just can’t hold on that you’d like to get them. I find the umbrellas to be great because of how much they can hold. That way you can get more bigger items to fill for your kids.
When I do Easter baskets I tend to lean more towards toys and non candy items for my daughters. I don’t like to put in too much candy. I found a few things of candy for them though. Giving them a little bit of candy is okay. I would rather give them toys or something they can really use.
Some of my daughters favorite toys are surprise toys, like the Zuru Mini Brands and Zuru Unicorn Squad. They are always asking for these when we’re at the store. I can’t blame them though, they’re great toys! Even I enjoy opening these. They’re so much fun!
Since they love these toys so much, I lined the whole outside of the umbrella with them. They were thrilled!
This was such a fun gift basket idea. I’ve really enjoyed the idea of doing gift baskets for Easter. I love doing them more in umbrellas not only because of the space, but because it makes it more of a spring feeling too. It is already spring, so this was a great choice. My kids love it when we do this with umbrellas too. It’s a fun and unique way to do Easter baskets.
My daughters were super happy to open up all these surprise toys. Mini brands have a couple of different options out there right now. You can get the regular ones, which are in the gold balls, or the newer ones, which are the toy mini brands. The Mini Brands come with small items inside, and the toy ones are small toys. The Unicorn Squad balls come with a unicorn inside and they’ve got a bunch of fun accessories too.
Once you take all the wrapping off the Mini Brands, you’ll find five separate pieces. Each of these have a surprise inside. They have mini replicas of already made bigger products. They’re very mini!
As you can see, one of the pieces that came inside was a mini bag of caramels. They are made to look like the real product, just in mini size. Mercades (my oldest) is the biggest fan of these. She has a big collection that keeps on growing. We are always adding more to her collection. She hopes to get them all someday.
Inside each Mini Brand ball, comes five fun surprises. She even got one of the rare metallic ones! It was the Bagel Bites Pizza Snacks! She was so excited to get one of those. It’s always excited when you get a rare one.
Inside the Toy Mini Brands were some fun mini toys too! They are just like miniature toys, which are so cute! If you have ever thought of getting a mini version of a toy, you must check out these ones. They’re so neat!
The Fairy Unicorn Squad are so adorable! You get a unicorn inside with a bunch of different accessories. There are so many to collect too. We’re also hoping to collect all of the unicorns. We only have a few of the unicorns so far, but we’ll continue to keep collecting in hopes to get more. They have so many beautiful ones to collect.
Unicorn Squad even comes with what they call colormix unicorn poop! It is a fun dough like stuff that you can mix together to create another color. We had yellow and white and it turned to a pink color. It feels amazing too! We’ve opened up others that also have white and yellow, but once they’re mixed together it makes another color. That means you have no idea what color it’s going to turn to.
This unicorns name is Veera and she is a devil. Her outfit is so amazing! It fits with her very well. All the colors and sparkles make it that much more beautiful too. We were so happy to get her. We love her so much.
You can always go the more traditional way and make a smaller Easter basket as well. We also love doing these if we have less items to give out. You can top them off with Mini Brands and Unicorn Squad surprise toys.
These are going to be so much fun for Easter baskets this year. If your kids love these already, then I’m sure they’re going to be excited to have them in their baskets this year. Mine are always happy to see them in their baskets. They make such great gifts. I’m an adult, and even I would love to get any of these. They’re a lot of fun to open and see what’s inside. It’s such a great idea for an Easter basket.

I have not purchased any of the mini brands. My son isn’t interested and his cousins are too old for them now. I love the umbrella Easter basket. Personally, we don’t do Easter baskets. Instead, I focus on building Easter family traditions that the kids enjoy.
