A Real Pain

I was very interested in seeing this movie when I heard it was out. I only recently actually heard of this movie, but it sounded like it would be good, so I’m glad I had the chance to be able to see this one. It was definitely different from what I normally see, but it a really good way. These two guys are cousins who haven’t seen each other in awhile, and they come together over the death of a loved one in the family. They’ll learn more about their family and help each other with their own pain and struggles. Everyone handles death and pain differently, and you’ll see that in this movie. It was actually a pretty powerful movie too. I highly enjoyed this one.

Film Synopsis

Mismatched cousins, David and Benji, reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. A Real Pain has been nominated for 4 Golden Globe Awards® including Best Picture, Best Actor Jesse Eisenberg, Best Supporting Actor Kieran Culkin and Best Screenplay. The film won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
