Angelina Ballerina & Barney Movies Review

11 July, 2013 by KatBp 5 Comments

I was recently provided these two dvd’s for review. They’re Angelina Ballerina Mousical Medleys and Imagine with Barney. I have two daughters ages 2 and 4. They’ve never seen either of these shows before so I thought it would be nice to have them watch the movies. I love letting them watch something different to see what they think about it. It’s also always nice to have them watch the educational shows. Those are the ones I try to get them to watch as much as possible when they want to watch something on tv.

I used to watch Barney all the time when I was a kid. I even had a whole collection of the Barney movies on vhs. I was really excited to introduce Barney to my kids. This is the first time they have seen a Barney movie. I love how educational they’re. It’s a show the kids can enjoy and learn from as well. I really love that they have kids on the show as well. I think that really got my daughters in to the movie. Barney and friends use a lot of imagination which I think is really nice. My kids have the biggest imaginations and I think it’s so neat that this show can really help them explore their imaginations.

Angelina Ballerina is probably my kids favorite out of the two movies. They always seem to want to watch this one. I think it’s a really cute movie and it teaches kids a few things as well. As you can tell from the title this movie is more about ballerinas and dance. Angelina is the star of the movie and you can watch while all the mouselings get together for a musical. You’ll see lots and lots of dancing in this movie. It’s actually a great way to get your kids active. Usually when my daughters watch movies like these they want to get up and dance along with the characters in the movie. I think it’s a great way to get them more active as well.

If you have younger kids with wild imaginations or ones that love to dance, then these would be great movies for them. Both of my daughters enjoyed both of the movies. I had never watched Angelina Ballerina before until now. I wish I would have had the chance to watch that movie when I was younger. These are some really great movies for children of all ages.

Disclosure: I received these products in exchange for a review. The opinions are all my own and may differ from yours.

My 2 year old son has just hit the “I love everything Barney” stage in his life. Now add the pirate them and he would literally be bouncing off the walls! I wish I had little girls, so they could watch Angelina Ballerina {mine are much too old}. I never got to experience that phase with them, and secretly envy all the mothers I see buying all the Angelina Ballerina things. They are just too cute!

Barney is just as great, but after 6 other kids going through the stage he is just not as fascinating to me as he used to be. My 2 year old on the other hand can’t get enough of him! Thanks for sharing the new titles and giving me an idea of what to look for in the stores, I am sure that I will be buying the Barney one before too long

My kids have never seen either of these (actually neither have I), but lately we are looking for new things to watch when we do. I just might have to keep them in mind.
