Are You Afraid of the Dark? Midnight Society Meeting

Inspired by Are You Afraid of the Dark?, my family and I did some fun activities. This movie has already been released too, so make sure you check that out. It is a limited series event and has 3 fan-favorite episodes from the classic series. You won’t want to miss this! It was a show I grew up watching, so being able to see this brought back a lot of memories for me.

About the Movie:

LOS ANGELES–July 15, 2020–Re-imagined for a new generation, Nickelodeon’s all-new version of ‘90’s kids’ cult classic Are You Afraid of the Dark? arrives on DVD Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon Home Entertainment. The three-part limited series follows members of an entirely new Midnight Society, who tell a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Top Hat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life and prepare for an adventure beyond their wildest nightmares.

A must-own for fans of the classic series, as well as those new to the franchise, the Are You Afraid of the Dark? DVD also includes three fan-favorite episodes from the original series and will be available for the suggested retail price of $13.99.

This s’mores recipe and campfire craft have been submitted for the approval of The Midnight Society. Storytelling around the campfire just got a lot more fun! ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK? is available on DVD today! https://bit.ly/AYAOTDCampfire

Midnight Society Kit:

We got our very own kit to have a midnight society meeting. It was the perfect kit to go along with the movie. If you have ever seen the show, then you know the members of the midnight society always have a meeting. When they have their meeting they are around a campfire. Now we get to make our own smores and even make a fake campfire.

My daughters loved reading some of the story starters together. They took turns reading them and really enjoyed that. They even used the flashlight inside our tent to read these stories. I thought it was a great idea reading scary stories in the tent.

We made our very own cardboard campfire craft and it was a lot of fun. I thought it turned out great. This is such a great craft to do with your children. I highly enjoyed this one. My kids even pretended to warm up their hands with the fire.

We even made one of our favorite campfire treats. Smores!! It was a perfect night to go along with the movie. We all had a wonderful time and will be doing more of this together again.

If you still haven’t seen this movie yet, make sure to pick up your own copy. It sure is a great one! I really enjoyed being able to see the new episodes along with a few of the old classic ones. I love scary stories, and I hope to continue that with my children as well.

I have got to show this series to my nieces and nephews. Kids love scary stories but I get very afraid, so i will have to get my nerve up to watch with them.

I think it’s great for kids. It’s not to scary for if they’re first starting out with scary stuff.
