Bringing Families Together With Goliath & Pressman

4 January, 2019 by KatBp 54 Comments

Do you enjoy playing games with the family? My daughters love to play games, and I’ve always loved them as well, ever since I was little. I’ve always been a huge fan of playing games. It gets everyone together for some family time, and keeps the kids away from electronics. It’s a win win for us! There are so many amazing games out there too. Goliath and Pressman have always been some great brands for our family. We always find something that we love playing from them. Recently, we were given the Charades for Kids and Color Smash games. These are perfect games for those with kids, like myself.

My daughters and I were very excited to try out both of these games. If any of you have played charades before, then you probably know how that game is going to go already. This charades one is actually great for traveling. My family and I have travel plans in a couple of months, so we already know we’re going to be bringing both of these games with us.

This classic game of Charades is designed especially for kids to play and enjoy! With three levels of clues, kids of all ages can participate. Each card has a clue with a picture, so no reading is required (although the combination of the picture and its corresponding word reinforces early reading skills). Younger players can act out a toothbrush, a cat or a bumble bee! Older children can read the simple words and phrases and act out actions like eating spaghetti or playing guitar! This game is great for the whole family to play together as they try to guess the charade before time runs out! For 3 or more players, ages 4 and up.

  • Smaller version of the family favorite is great for travel!
  • Fun, active game gets kids moving
  • No reading required
  • 3 Levels of play

Game Contents:

  • 150 Charade Cards with 450 Charades
  • Sand Timer
  • Game Die
  • Complete Instructions

If your kids love playing charades, then this is the perfect game for them. It’s a lot more simple then other charades games. This one is created for kids, and we love it! They’re very simple for the kids to read off what they are going to be acting out. There are even some photos on the cards to help them out with some of them. In this game, they have a dice that has the numbers 1,2 and 3. These all determine which number on the cards they have to act out. There is a timer for everyone who is acting out what’s on the card too. You have until the timer runs out to try to guess what the player is trying to act out. The person who guesses three cards correctly, is the winner!

Slap your way to victory in this test of color coordination and smash the splat with the same color and name to win the deck! It’s quick to learn and easy to play! The unique, colorful storage “paint can” holds cards for future play. You’ve got to be smart and fast to win at Color Smash! The eye sees one thing while your brain perceives the other. Take turns laying your cards down on the table – remember to pay attention, or they may get stolen! For 2 or more players, ages 6 and up.

Game contents

  • 72 Cards
  • 1 Paint Can Storage Tin
  • Complete Instructions

My daughters and I really enjoyed playing this game. This is a quick thinking game, but you don’t want to “smash” the wrong colored card. As you can see, some of these words match up with the colors, and some of them don’t. For example: the black colored card says blue on it. That means you don’t want to “smash” your hand down on that one because the word is not the correct color. Now if you look on the green card, it does saw green, so that one is correct. That means you want to “smash” down on that card. If there are cards that show color, but no words, you don’t want to “smash” down on those ones either. The multi colored ones just mean that if you’re the one to get that card, then you get to steal five cards from a player of your choosing.

Now, if you “smash” down on the wrong card, you have to put five of your cards back in the pile. This game can be extremely exciting, but you have to watch what you’re doing, and be quick about it too. You don’t want to “smash” down on any of the wrong cards, or you could easily lose the game very quickly. It’s certainly a fun one to play though! My daughters and I have been having a lot of fun with this one. The player who wins this game, is the one with the most cards in the end.

Both of these games are great games for the family. If you’re in search of some fun games the whole family can enjoy, then these ones are right for you. Goliath and Pressman have a lot more exciting and fun games to check out too. We can always find something we want from these brands. I’m sure you will too!

Would you enjoy playing these games with your family?
