Build A Bear: My Little Ponies Review

My kids have never been to Build A Bear before. I’ve always wanted to bring them but it’s about an hour and a half drive to our closest one. I know they would have fun if they got to build an animal of their own. I know one day I’ll be able to bring them. Have you ever been to Build A Bear before?

I had the chance to review Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash. My daughters were really excited for their package to arrive. We kept seeing commercials on T.V. about the My Little Pony Build A Bear’s and I would tell them that they’re getting those. They were shipped out very fast. They even came in boxes that you can see above. My daughters went right to opening them up so I had to rush to take a photo.

Twilight Sparkle is the purple pony and Rainbow Dash is the blue pony. They came with some accessories as well. Rainbow Dash came with white sparkly shoes, a rainbow cape and a green flower ear bow. Twilight Sparkle comes with gold sparkly shoes, a pink/gold cape and a gold crown. My daughters love that they can take off all the accessories and put them back on. They had some trouble with putting the shoes on but I was able to help them with that.

My daughters play with their ponies every day and they even sleep with them at night. I can tell how much they love them. Normally they get bored with a toy after a while but they certainly play with their ponies all the time. I’m so glad that they love them as much as they do.

These ponies are 16 in in height and they’re very soft to the touch. Rainbow Dash has the rainbow colored cape with some white lining. Twilight Sparkle has a white lining on the cape as well but she’s got pink with some golden/yellow mesh as well. Both of the ponies have Velcro that keeps the capes on. Rainbow Dash also has a lime green flower hair bow with some pink gems in the middle of the flowers. My daughter will even put the hair bow in the ponies hair and it works well that way too. Twilight Sparkle has a golden crown with a pink star on it. Both the crown and the hair bow have stretchy bands to keep them on the ponies so they won’t fall off. We all thought the hair was very beautiful. They come with many different colors. Of course Rainbow Dash has the rainbow colored hair, so it’s red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Then you have Twilight Sparkle who has the dark blue/purple, pink and light purple hair.

If you haven’t had the chance to get something from Build A Bear yet I highly suggest it. These ponies are about $25 without all the accessories. You can add on more accessories if you’d like. You don’t even have to get what’s pictured. I’m sure some of the other accessories would look lovely with these ponies as well. Even though we didn’t get to actually go in and build them ourselves, my daughters still really love their ponies. I know we will bring them in sometime to let them build their own too.

Disclosure: I received these products in exchange for a review. The opinions are all my own and may differ from yours.
