Camp Warner Bros. Week 3-We Bare Bears: The Movie + Gummy Bear Slime

It’s week 3 of Camp Warner Bros. I hope that you have all been having fun with the activities and movies each week. This week we have the movie We Bare Bears: The Movie. To go along with the movie, we’ll be making a gummy bear slime. My daughters love slime, and we make it a lot. They were excited to try out a gummy bear slime since we’ve never made slime like this before. Make sure to have an adult around for this activity.

About We Bare Bears: The Movie

We Bare Bears: The Movie follows Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear’s love of food trucks and Internet fame, which leads the brothers to unexpected mayhem, where they must go on a wild, hilarious and dangerous adventure to escape a foe that threatens to tear them apart.  Watch as Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear catch the attention of the Department of Wildlife Control,  and go on a wacky adventure as their world turns upside down, and the Bears are left with no choice but to go on the run!

Gummy Bear Slime!

Stack the bears up, squish them down – and make this adventurous slime that you can actually eat.

My daughters both made their very own gummy bear slime. One of them used all the colors, and the other decided that she wanted to pick out the colors to try to make a red slime. The first thing we did was put the gummy bears in a bowl.

Next we put the gummy bears in the microwave. We put them on 10 seconds at a time til they are done. Then we mixed them each time til they were done too. It didn’t really say how many gummy bears to use for this recipe, so we used one cup and it turned out great. That’s about what I’d recommend using.

In a separate bowl you want to mix the powdered sugar and cornstarch together.

Once the gummy bears are melted and the dry ingredients are mixed together, you can start slowly putting the dry ingredients in the gummy bear mixture. Just do this by spoonfuls at a time. You’ll want to keep mixing until you have the right consistency. If it gets to sticky, you can always add more dry ingredients.

Once it’s all mixed up, you can take it out and start playing with it. You could even eat it if you’d like! All of these ingredients are edible, so go ahead and try it too.

We had a lot of fun making this gummy bear slime. If your kids already love making slime, I’m sure they’ll enjoy this gummy bear slime too. I would recommend helping younger kids with the gummy bears in the microwave, because it does get hot.

We Bare Bears: The Movie is now available to own on Digital, Blu-ray & DVD. Make sure you get your own copy!

Pairing activities like this with shows and movies is such a great way to make learning fun for the kids. They’re not bored out of their minds, which means they’re open to learning and exploring.
