Do you wash your dishes by hand or with a dishwasher? We have a dishwasher so that’s what we normally use for our dishes. Sometimes we do hand wash some, since not all dishes are dishwasher safe. The tabs we normally use don’t always get our dishes completely clean. I’ve always wanted to try something else to see if it worked any better. Usually it’s our bigger pans that don’t want to get clean all the way, so I usually have to hand wash them afterwards. I know it sounds crazy doesn’t it?!

I was sent some of the Cascade Platinum packs and rinse aid from Double Duty Divas to host a party to show off how clean they can make your dishes. We made mac & cheese from a recipe that was given to use with our party pack and some brownies that they also provided.

I made the brownies the night before and left the pan to sit out over night. That way you can truly see how Cascade works. I made sure to wait til all the guests had arrived and showed them the brownie pan.

IMG_2719

I made the mac & cheese while my guests were at the party. I wanted them to be there when I made it. The pan was stuck with a lot of cheese after we all ate the mac & cheese. You can see in the photo above all the cheese was all over the pan.

IMG_2718

I also made another pan of mac & cheese for my youngest daughter because she is allergic to dairy. I wanted to make sure she got some as well. The photo above shows the pan after making her mac & cheese.

We used the Cascade Platinum packs to clean up the dishes. They have Dawn in them, which we were a bit worried about trying those out because we thought it may soap up all over our dishwasher. We have had this happen before, so it worried us that it may soap up again. Luckily we didn’t have this problem with these products, so that was very great for us. We were so happy that there were no suds!

IMG_2729

We also used the Cascade Rinse aid along with the packs. We did not pre-wash any of the dishes before we washed them. We put them in the dishwasher and washed them right away. No need to pre-wash with these products. We also have a septic and they’re safe for use with them.

The brownie pan came out sparkling clean. Everyone was very impressed.

The big mac & cheese pot we used came out very clean. Everyone was surprised at how well it cleaned. Since the cheese was stuck to it in the beginning we were wondering if it would all come off at all and it certainly did.

The pan from my daughters dairy free mac & cheese was also very clean. Everyone was very happy with the outcome.

Overall everything went great. We were all so excited and surprised at the outcome of all the clean and sparkling dishes. I let everyone take home a pack of the Cascade Platinum packs and a bottle of the rinse aid. I hope that you’ll all try out these as well and keep your dishes sparkling clean.

We use Cascade in our home and we are proud by how well it holds up in our dishwasher. I’ll definitely have to recommend the platinum collection to my mom to try. Awesome review!

Nice job on the Cascade cleanup. And nice to that you made a separate batch for your daughter. 🙂

Because we have really hard water here I alternate between Cascade and Finish. TBH I’ve found that Finish actually does a better job than Cascade does with our dishes and I’ve actually used this one and it didn’t work that great with us. We even have a new dishwasher we bought less than 6 months ago.

I love Cascade, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried Platinum before. I better pick some up when I run to the store today because I have to make quite a bit of mac & cheese for a cookout tomorrow & the dishes are just going to sit there until we get back late at night.

These look effective. I always handwash our pots since I don’t really believe they can be thoroughly washed in the dishwasher but now I’m willing to give it a try. 🙂
