Celebrating Yes Day

Have your kids ever asked you to do something or maybe just asked for something and you had to say no or just didn’t want them having it? What if you gave them a yes day, and let them make the rules for a whole 24 hours?! Think you could say yes to everything? Of course you could make up a few rules before starting because we all know there are just some things you won’t be able to say yes too. I did this with my daughters and we had so much fun. I had to tell them they couldn’t ask for pets or a vacation or anything to crazy though. You can still set some ground rules and it will still make for a fun day for them. We had so much fun celebrating yes day together.

About YES DAY

Always feeling like they have to say NO to their kids and co-workers, Allison and Carlos decide to give their three kids a YES DAY — where for 24 hours the kids make the rules. Little did they know that they’d be going on a whirlwind adventure around Los Angeles, that would bring the family closer to each other than ever before.

We watched this movie together and we absolutely loved it! I can’t wait for it to come out to Netflix so that we can watch it again. If you have kids, I highly suggest watching this movie with them and having your very own yes day with them. You can make up some rules so that they can’t be asking for to many crazy things though. I had to set a few rules myself. There were a few things I just couldn’t let them have, but overall they did a great job coming up with some fun things to do.

Having A Yes Day With My Kids

In celebration of the movie, we decided to have our very own Yes Day. I was honestly just as excited as my kids for this. I thought it would be fun to see what they were going to come up with. They actually didn’t really ask for a whole lot, which really surprised me. One of the things I already knew that they were going to ask, was to go to McDonalds. We ended up going there for lunch.

Of course they wanted some ice cream as well. Surprisingly they just asked for some ice cream that we had at home. I thought they were going to ask to go out for some ice cream. It was nice though. Most of the stuff they asked for all had to do with being home or at least close to home.

My daughters love playing Roblox, so I was not surprised at all that they wanted to play. They even got me to play a few games as well. I play sometimes too. There are some games on there that I really enjoy. My daughters have introduced me to some new games and had me play those on yes day too. It turns out a couple of the games were a lot of fun, so I’m sure I’ll be playing more with them on some of those games too.

We were all so excited that we were able to see the premiere of the Yes Day movie. I loved it a lot, and I can’t wait to see it again on Netflix. Don’t forget to watch it when it comes to Netflix on Friday, March 12th! I hope you enjoy it with your family like I did with mine. If you decide to have your own yes day with your kids, make sure to share on social media and use the hashtag #YESDAYchallenge.

We’ll have to watch this movie. I’d never do a yes day with my kids though. They’d take full advantage and want to do some whack things.

I think doing a Yes Day with my three kids would be so much fun. They’ve had so many rules and restrictions for so many months. When everything is back to normal, I’m definitely doing this with them. Until then, we’ll watch the movie!
