With the holidays coming up quickly, I have to make sure to have some recipes ready for all the guests. Whether you’re hosting or not, I’m sure most of the time we all bring some kind of dish, right? Side dishes are a must for my family. We love our side dishes during the holidays.
One thing I love to make, is anything with cheese. My family sure loves cheese. I’m sure most of you do as well, am I right?! Crystal Farms® has some of the best cheese, and I do buy this brand very often. This is one of our favorites. We love their shredded cheese for many of our recipes. Crystal Farms products are made by cheese lovers, for cheese lovers, they’re all natural products with few preservatives, rich source of calcium, located in the refrigerated dairy section and they’re all gluten-free.
I to make different kinds of rice, but one of my favorites is the healthier version. That means I love to make cauliflower and broccoli rice. It’s much tastier and so much better for you. Being able to make this from vegetables is great. It’s the perfect recipe for any family. This recipe is very simple and requires only a few ingredients.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Broccoli Florets
2 Cups Cauliflower Florets
Salt
Pepper
1 Cup Crystal Farms Shredded Cheese
1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
The first thing you’re going to want to do, is to get the broccoli and cauliflower cut. Try to get just the florets if possible. You’re going to want to put these in a food processor so it will chop them up like rice.
Now you want to spray a pan with cooking spray. Than you can put the chopped up broccoli and cauliflower in there. Heat it up for a couple of minutes. Now you want to add in the chicken broth. Once you’ve added that, cover the pan with a lid and let it steam for about five minutes. Don’t put it on to high or it may burn. Just make sure to watch it carefully.
Once you’ve steamed it for about five minutes, you can add in the shredded cheese. You can mix it up some and you can always add more cheese on top once it’s done. If you love cheese like I do, then you’ll probably want to add it on top. I love having extra cheese on top of mine, so that’s what I normally do.
After mixing everything in, you’re done. You just have to put it in a dish for everyone.
Crystal Farms shredded cheese is great for making side dishes like these. They’re my go to when I’m looking to make a cheesy side dish. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used their products for my recipes. Everything always turns out great when you use cheese!
