My daughters and I love playing board games together. We usually play at least once a week, but most of the time it’s way more than that. We’re always trying to look for new games to play too. We have a nice collection of games going already, and love adding on more. Some of our favorite brands have been Goliath and Pressman. They always seem to come out with some fun games for my whole family to enjoy. They’re great for having a fun family game night.
We recently got the games Sequence Letters, Rule the Realm, and 4 in a Row. We have been having so much fun with all of these games. They’re definitely something new and exciting for us. We have played Sequence before, but not the letters one. Also, 4 in a Row is similar to another game we’ve played, just made differently, and we love it. Lots of fun when you have a family game night.
4 in a Row
This is one of our favorite games. We love trying to get four in a row. My daughters and I have already played this game a lot. This is such a simple game to play too. It’s a two player game, and you can pick between red or yellow.
All you have to do is get four of your colors in a row to win this game. It reminds me a lot of tic tac toe, except you’re trying to get four in a row. Make sure to watch carefully as you’re putting your colors in. It could get a bit tricky if you’re not paying attention. Once you drop your piece it, you can’t take it out til the game is over, so make sure you watch where you’re going to move.
Sequence Letters
Sequence Letters has become a favorite of ours. As I have mentioned before, we have played many Sequence games before, so we knew how this went. It is so much fun playing this game. Sometimes it can take awhile before someone wins too, which is what we love. My daughters and I love games that take longer. It makes them more interesting.
What you want to do with this game, is get four in a row. You can have up to three players in this game. Choose your color and get cards as well. Depending on how many people are playing the game, that will determine how many cards you get. Since we usually play with 2-3 players, we always get 5 cards. On the cards you will see a letter and a color. You must match both the color and one of the objects that start with the letter on the board. For example, if you got the red O, you would need to find something that starts with the letter O, but is also red on the board. That could be the orange since the color has red in the corner, and it starts with O.
Rule the Realm
This was a very different game for us. We have never played anything like it. This was so interesting, and once we understood how to play, we loved it. This one is a lot of fun.
In this game you’re using bands to make shapes. This game is all about strategy. You want to gather up your resource cards and use them to claim your territories and collect the treasures within. You’ll see on the board that there are different types of treasures. The more you make the shapes, the better chance you will have at collecting those treasures. You can conquer a territory by walling them off with your colored bands. Once the game is over, the one who collected the most will win.
These games are so much fun. We love Pressman and Goliath Games. These are two of our favorite brand names for board games. My daughters and I often get their games when they have new ones out. We are a family who loves to play games. If you love family game night, then you may want to add these to your list. They’re a blast to play and keep our family together to make more memories.
