Cooking

I love being able to cook for my family. It is something that I have always enjoyed doing. It’s especially fun coming up with new recipes or just trying out new recipes as a family. It can be exciting when you get to cook. My daughters also love helping out in the kitchen. They have been doing a lot of cooking lately too. We love to be together in the kitchen and cook up meals. One ingredient that I almost always use in my dishes, is the EVOO brand Le Stagioni d’ Italia 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil.

About Flavor Your Life

The Flavor Your Life campaign aims to educate North American consumers about authentic extra virgin olive oil from Europe. Flavor Your Live is empowering consumers by educating them about the rich history and delicious properties that these oils display—and sharing the delicious extra virgin olive oil culinary culture that’s been harvested in Europe for generations.

Having high quality ingredients in the kitchen helps a lot when it comes to cooking for my family. This Extra virgin olive oil has a high smoking point of 400°F, so it is suitable for cooking and baking. I love to use it for many different recipes, especially when I cook up pasta dishes. I do enjoy using it while baking as well. I love baking veggies on sheet pans, and I use the oil to sprinkle over the veggies. It works out wonderful.

Pasta Dishes

I love making all kinds of dishes, but some of my favorites are pasta dishes. You can always use olive oil for the noodles too, which I love. I like to toss the noodles with some olive oil. It is such a better alternative to other oils too. This olive oil is full of flavor and really gives the dishes a great taste. I love using extra virgin olive oil. I’ll always continue to use this olive oil. It has definitely become a favorite in our house, and we use it often.

Air Fryer Pasta Noodles

I have been making an air fryer pasta noodle recipe that my daughters and I love to eat for a snack. It has been a while since I have made this, and since I had this olive oil, I decided it would be the perfect time to make some of these again. We especially love having these while we watch movies. It’s a perfect snack for movie time.

The first thing you have to do is get a box of rigatoni noodles and cook them over the stove like you would normally cook them. Don’t cook them all the way though. Make sure they are not to soft, but not to hard either. You want them to be cooked, just not fully. This is mainly because they are going in the air fryer afterwards.

Seasoning

After coating your noodles with some olive oil, you sprinkle over some garlic powder and Italian seasoning. It doesn’t really matter how much you sprinkle over it. I don’t do a lot of the garlic just because it can become strong. I always add a lot of Italian seasoning though. This really depends on how much you like. I like to really coat it with Italian seasoning.

Next you can shred some Parmesan cheese and sprinkle that over the noodles. Again, you can put as much of the cheese on it as you’d like. I just like to coat them so they have enough for flavor.

Now you can get the air fryer ready. You’ll want to cook them for about 8 minutes on 400 degrees.

Once they’re done, you can get them out of the air fryer and let them cool off for a bit. It doesn’t take long for them to cool off either. These can be put on longer or for less time depending on how you like them. I like mine with a little bit of a crunch, so 8 minutes is perfect. They taste great without going in the air fryer either. Whichever you prefer, they taste amazing.

Make sure that you store the olive oil somewhere dark and cool (around 57°F, if possible), not on the counter or near a stove, and never in the refrigerator. Keep the lid screwed on tight, and use your oil within six months of opening. 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil typically retails for $19.99 for a 500 mL bottle. Le Stagioni d’ Italia Extra Virgin Olive Oil is coming soon to a retailer near you.

Air Fryer Italian Rigatoni Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 box Rigatoni Noodles
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Olive Oil
  • Garlic Powder
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the noodles according to the package and then drain the noodles.
  • Toss some olive oil on the noodles until they're coated well.
  • Add in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. It doesn't matter how much you use. This is all up to you. I usually just do a couple shakes of the garlic powder. Then I keep tossing the noodles with the Italian seasoning. I like a lot of Italian seasoning on mine, so I coat them well.
  • Now you can add in the grated parmesan cheese. Sprinkle it over the top and add as much as you want. I like them with a lot because I love parmesan cheese.
  • Now have your air fryer set to 400 degrees and cook for about 8-10 minutes. You can cook for less time if you like them softer, or add time if you really love them crunchy.

Are they crispy like chips or do they have a soft center? I have the ingredients, but not sure this is a texture I would like.

They can be either way. It all depends on how long you cook them. If you cook them around the 8 minutes, they’ll be a bit softer, but cook more for 10 minutes and they’ll have a crunch like chips. Very good either way.

I looked for the recipe in text form but I don’t see it. Is it written out as a recipe so that it can be copied and printed out? Also, I saw where you mentioned to someone that when you cook noodles in the air fryer, shorter cook times make them softer and long times make them crispier. Is that correct? I’m learning new things every day!

I just added the recipe so you can check it out and print it if you’d like. Yes, the longer you cook them the more crispy and crunchy they will be. I like them both ways, so I usually do a mix.
