It’s hard to believe that October is right around the corner. The great thing about October, is that Halloween is coming up! This is one of my favorite times of the year. I love Halloween! I always take out my daughters for Halloween each year to go trick or treating. I love seeing them dressed up in their favorite costumes and going door to door trick or treating. This year I wanted to start doing some more Halloween projects with my daughters. We love all things Halloween, and what they really love the most, is slime. That’s when I decided to make some slime of my own that would go great with Halloween. That’s when the Frankenstein Slime came in to mind.
What You Will Need
1 Cup Hot Water
1/2 Cup Clear Glue
1 Tsp. Borax
Green Food Coloring
Cup/Jar With Lid
Googly Eyes
Black Permanent Marker
Hot Glue/Hot Glue Gun
Black Ribbon
The first thing you’ll want to do, is to pour the hot water in a bowl.
Then you’ll want to put the borax in with the water. You’ll want to mix this until it gets clear.
Next you want to get a separate bowl to put the glue in.
Now you want to put the food coloring in with the glue. I used just 2 drops, but I also used a food coloring gel. I think this works best.
Now you can mix them up til you get the color you want and it’s all mixed in well.
Next you want to start adding the liquid mixture in with the glue. Now you only want to add a couple of spoonfuls at a time and start mixing it. This will be the hardest part because it takes the most time. Just keep adding it til you get the consistency you want. You may end up not using all the liquid mixture either.
It does take a while to get that right consistency, so don’t be worried if at first it seems like it’s always to liquidy, because it will change. Just keep kneading it and it will get to the way you want it.
Once you’ve got it the way you want, you can put it in your container. I love these small plastic containers because they work great.
Now to the Frankenstein part. You can really do this in any order, but I decided to draw on the mouth first. It’s an easy up and down motion to make the mouth with a black permanent marker.
Next you want to use your hot glue gun to stick on the eyes.
Now you can wrap the ribbon around the top. I just put a piece of tape on the back to begin with and wrap it all the way around and tape it again. You could always glue it on, but tape worked out just fine for me.
Now to add the final touch, I just drew on the scar on his face. It’s a simple line with more lines through it. Very easy to do.
Now you have your Frankenstein Slime! You can put him out for decoration or give them to kids! My girls love slime, so they love to play with this, but I also keep it for a decoration because it goes well with my Halloween display.
Happy Halloween!Â

I love this. Of course, the color is great, but the texture is so good, too! It’s kind of chunky, which makes it just the right amount of gross.

Since Frankenstein is green, I had to make it green. 🙂
