Can you believe that Halloween is almost here?! It’s hard to believe that it’s less than two weeks away. My daughters are getting very excited about this too. We have a lot of Halloween parties to attend this year too, so they’re excited about that as well. It’s always a fun time for the kids this time of year. How about others though? Do any of you adults do anything for Halloween? I know they have great Halloween parties out there for adults as well. Do you ever buy yourself candy for the fun of it?

Have any of you heard about booing your neighbors? This is something newer that I’ve learned about, and it’s very fun and exciting. The tradition of “Booing your Neighbor” has been around for several years now and it has really grown in popularity as a fun, safe, family-oriented activity. It’s also known as “Ghosting” or “Boo-gramming.” It has been a hit with mommy bloggers and their families. They would put together a home decorated bag of treats including a note with instructions on how to “boo” and a poem and deliver it anonymously to their neighbor, friend or relative. The recipient would then have 48 hours to do it to their next door neighbor or friend which creates a chain throughout the neighborhood.

Doesn’t this sound like fun?! I’ve never done this before, so I was excited about it. I was actually sent a boo it forward kit so that I could get in on the fun and enjoy this as well. I think it’s a wonderful idea to do this with neighbors. I just moved not that long ago, so this is a great way for me to share something with my new neighbors.

Have you thought about giving out one of these “boo it forward” kits? I hope that you’ll leave a special one for a neighbor. It could really make someones day to see one of these outside their door steps!
