I have something so simple yet awesome to share with you. Do you hate the sight of your trash can, but just have no more room to hide it? Ever struggle to use plastic bags as an extra trash area? Do you ever have too many plastic bags and don’t know what to do with them? I’ve had this problem forever. I would have to keep them on the floor or tac them into the wall , hang them on the door knobs, without an ounce of hold. I could go for the unslightly nails in the wall , ugly stickies that won’t hold up a dime, or I could go with the Handi Hanger! This completely eliminated my problem.
Handi hanger easily screws right into your cabinet doors and holds your bag OPEN so that you don’t have to fiddle with it to get things to fit. This wonderful contraption holds a lot of things, as it is tightly screwed into your doors and it’s made of heavy duty plastic. I don’t foresee anything breaking!
The installation was a breeze. I checked for clearance to make sure where I planned to install it didn’t get in the way of closing the cabinet doors or anything else. Then, I lined the handles up so that they were at good distance from each other. Really, I just guestimated from the middle, but you may want to use a ruler. You can measure the bags width from handle to handle and then mark your cabinet door to match that length. The directions say for most cabinet doors, place the holders 10 inches apart from each other and 2 inches away from the edge of the door on each side.
Using my trusty Black & Decker power screw driver, I drove the 4 nails into their clearly designated areas, with a Phillip’s head.
Be careful when power drilling that you don’t screw it in too far and end up going out the other end!
Final result
A hidden trash area with plenty of hold. I love organization “doohickies” and this has to be my favorite right now.
This has been an awesome, economical and convenient edition to my home. It’s a great way to recycle your grocery bags and save money on trash bags. I usually just use my reusable totes, but I often overshoot what I buy and end up needing more bags. Who doesn’t do this? This is another reason you can feel good about using plastic bags on the Handi Hanger.
Another idea is to use your reusable totes that are made of plastic. It can be the trash that you only throw tissues out in or the no food trash that won’t gunk it up and can easily be washed! Thereby being even more friendly to the environment. Either way you use it, it is SO helpful!
No more nasty trash buckets and cans to clean out! Just throw away your bag and pop on a new one effortlessly!

I would use this on my desk door. I hate having a little garbage can under my desk that I just end up kicking all the time. This would be perfect.
