Get ready for Hotel Transylvania Transformania coming to Prime Video on January 14th. My family has been so excited for this release. Ever since we saw the trailer for it we have been wanting to see it. We were lucky enough to get a screening to see the movie, and we loved it! My daughters and I all said that this was probably one of the best ones yet. We can’t wait to watch it many more times. It was definitely one of my favorites, and honestly probably my favorite one out of all of them. I just loved how some of them transformed. It was interesting to see some in human form and others in monster form.

About

Drac and the Pack are back, like you’ve never seen them before in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Reunite with your favorite monsters for an all-new adventure that presents Drac (Brian Hull) with his most terrifying task yet. When Van Helsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) mysterious invention, the ‘Monsterification Ray,’ goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny (Andy Samberg) becomes a monster! In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late, and before they drive each other crazy. With help from Mavis (Selena Gomez) and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent. The film also features the voices of Kathryn Hahn (Ericka), Steve Buscemi (Wayne), Molly Shannon (Wanda), David Spade (Griffin the Invisible Man), Keegan-Michael Key (Murray), Fran Drescher (Eunice), Brad Abrell (Frank), and Asher Blinkoff (Dennis).

In celebration of the movie, I decided to make some Murray the Mummy Hot Cocoa Bombs. I enjoy making hot cocoa bombs, and with it being winter, I thought this would be a great chance to make some of Murray the Mummy from Hotel Transylvania.

Murray is one of my favorite characters from the movie, so I decided it would be a great time to make up some hot cocoa bombs. Since it’s winter and it is cold out, hot cocoa is always a wonderful choice for a beverage.

The first thing you want to do is melt some chocolate. I used white chocolate for this recipe since they’re of a Murry the Mummy. I usually do 2-3 coats when I do chocolate. For this one I ended up doing three coats. I like to use a paint brush, but you could even use a spoon too. After each coat I put the mold in the fridge for 5-10 minutes so it can harden. Then I’ll do another layer, put it in the fridge and so on until all layers are finished.

Once the chocolate has all hardened, you can take them out of the mold. Be very careful and gentle with them, as they can crack easily. I usually flip the mold over and make sure the edges are lose before popping them out of the mold.

Now you can take one of the halves and fill it with hot cocoa mix and marshmallows. I use about 1 tablespoon of hot cocoa mix and added in five mini marshmallows.

Now I put some icing around the edge so that I can stick the pieces together. I used already packaged cookie icing, but you can always use some of the leftover melted chocolate too.

Now you can use the icing and make lines on the cocoa bombs to make them look like a mummy.

Now you just add on the candy eyeballs. That’s all there is to it. It’s a simple recipe.

Murry the Mummy Inspired Hot Cocoa Bombs

Ingredients

  • White Chocolate
  • White Cookie Icing
  • Candy Eyeballs
  • Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Mini Marshmallows

Instructions

  • The first thing you want to do is coat your hot cocoa bomb molds with the white chocolate. You may want to do 2-3 coats of this. Make sure to put them in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to harden for each coat you do.
  • Now you can pop out the molds and put your hot cocoa powder and mini marshmallows inside.
  • Next you want to take the icing and put some around the edges of the white chocolate bombs. That way you can now stick them together to form the ball. You can also use leftover melted white chocolate if you want. I just find the packaged icing to be easier to use.
  • Now you can take the icing and make the lines on the bombs so that they look more like a mummy. After doing this you can add on the candy eyeballs. Now you have Murry the Mummy hot cocoa bombs!

Don’t forget that Hotel Transylvania 4 will be released on Prime Video January 14th. It’s a wonderful movie to see with the family. We all enjoyed this one so much and can’t wait to wait it many more times when it comes out.

I’m not sure which I’m more excited about – the movie or the bombs. We have watched the first three movies more than once, so you could say we are fans.
