How Parking Enforcement Stole My Soul Book Review

3 September, 2012 by KatBp Leave a Comment

If you have ever been curious about the life of a parking enforcement officer this would be a great book for you. Even if you have no interest in the world of parking officers, you still may enjoy this book. I was given the opportunity to review the book How Parking Enforcement Stole My Soul.

This book is about a guy named Ben Friedrich who starts off with a job in the fire department, and then moves on to become a parking enforcement officer. What he really wants, is to become a police officer. It starts off with some failed relationships and then becomes more about his job. Ben goes through some tough times, and sometimes it affects his job. Giving out parking tickets is his job, and he ends up really hating it. He encounters some really tough people while giving out parking tickets. You can probably imagine how some people would react if they seen an officer placing a parking ticket on their car. I think the real message of this story is to not waste time with a job you hate, and to go for what you want.

I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed this book. I think it’s a great lesson learning book. Ben was in a situation where he hated his job, and wanted to get out. I think it teaches us that we need to go for what we want and not let anything else in the way. There was some humor in the book as well.

This would be a great book for those that are interested in the life of a parking enforcement officer job, or even if your looking for a book with some humor.
