I love watching Indian Jones, so when I heard about the release of Indian Jones and the Dial of destiny, I just knew I had to see it. I’m such a fan of these movies, and this one was great as well. It was action packed just like I had hoped for. I love everyone who played in this movie. They all did such a wonderful job. My husband and I both were able to see this movie, and he loved it as well. We had both heard mixed reviews about it, but after watching it, there was no doubt for us that we loved it.

BURBANK, CA (August 14, 2023)–From Academy Award®–nominated writer-director James Mangold (Logan, Walk the Line)comes the final chapter in the saga of one of cinema’s greatest heroes. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny sees Harrison Ford reprise his iconic role as the whip-smart archaeologist one last time for a “rip-roaring adventure” (Maureen Lenker, Entertainment Weekly) full of “exciting action, wonderful banter and fantastic twists and turns” (Germain Lussier,io9).

The film will be available from all major digital retailers including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu on August 29, with never-before-seen bonus content including five chapters that chart the making of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Join the cast and crew on an epic, globe-trotting adventure showcasing new characters, stunts, music, locations, production design, and visual effects.

Film Synopsis Harrison Ford returns to the role of the legendary hero archaeologist for this highly anticipated final installment of the iconic franchise–a big, globe-trotting, rip-roaring cinematic adventure. Starring along with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”),Antonio Banderas (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish), John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Shaunette Renée Wilson (Black Panther), Thomas Kretschmann (Das Boot),Toby Jones (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Olivier Richters (Black Widow), Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange) and newcomer Ethann Isidore. Directed by James Mangold (Logan, Walk the Line) and written by Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth and David Koepp and James Mangold, based on characters created by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman, the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original Raiders of the Lost Arkin 1981, has once again composed the score.

In inspiration of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny coming out, I thought this would be a great way to make some salt dough fossils. When I think of Indiana Jones, I always think of fossils. Not just fossils, but that is one of the first things that I always think about when I think of this movie. Since you do see some fossils in the movie, I thought this would be a fun way to make some salt dough fossils. This way you can actually keep them at home with you. They’re so much fun to make too.

Salt Dough Fossils

Equipment

  • 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 Cup Salt
  • 1 Cup Warm Water

Materials

  • 2 Sheet Pans
  • Parchment Paper
  • Plastic Reptiles (or dinosaurs or whatever you'd like)
  • Bowl
  • Mixing Spoon

Instructions

  • Make sure your oven is preheated to 200° The first thing you want to do, is mix the flour, salt and warm water in a bowl. You can use a spoon at first, but once it gets mixed in good, you can start using your hands to mix it up if you'd like. I find this easier.
  • Once it is all mixed up you can make them into round balls. You can also use a rolling pin to flatten the dough and cut out shapes if you'd like. I just rolled them up into a ball and pressed down on them to get them flatter. I find this to work easier for me and it looks more real this way too.
  • Now you can start using your plastic reptiles to press down on the dough to create the fossil look. Use whichever ones you'd like. I used a package of plastic reptiles, but use whatever kind you want or have around.
  • Now make sure your parchment paper is laid out on your pans. Then put all your pieces on the pan once you've pressed them all with the plastic reptiles. Put them in the oven for about 2 hours and they should harden. You might need more time depending on the thickness of them. Mine only took 2 hours.
