I’m bored! We all here this from kids, right? Kids seem to say it often and parents don’t like to hear it. Get rid of boredom this summer with these great activities.
“I’m bored!”
How many times do you hear your kids say this? I work from home, so I hear this all the time from my daughters. Luckily this year they have been lucky enough to have their cousins over often since I watch them while my sister in law is working. There are still days when you’ll hear all the kids talk about how bored they are.
If you’re looking for some great activities to do together, I’ve made a list of some great things to do this summer. These will be great for when your kids or other kids you may be watching say they’re bored. There is a list of both indoor and outdoor activities.

I’m going to print this list and post it on the refrigerator. I usually put my kids to work if they tell me they’re bored.

That’s what I plan to do as well. I think it will be great for when they’re bored.
This is a great list of activities. I’ve always tried to avoid the dreaded “I’m bored”. A. A bored kid is a kid who gets in trouble. B: Boredom means they’re minds aren’t working.
I completely agree. I hate to hear of any child being bored.
We actually went to the library yesterday and it was excellent. We have not be to our local once since we loved and I am hooked already!
I love going to the library. They have a lot of great activities sometimes too. We go every Tuesday for some fun activities over the summer.
I love lists like this because it gives me a big variety to choose from. Last time my kids were bored we pulled out some small PVC pipes and did a marshmallow fight!
That sounds like a ton of fun too. I may have to try that too.
I’m loving the outdoor ideas. The weather has been so nice lately and there are so many possibilities!
I agree. It’s been beautiful weather out here too.
Such great ideas! I love that your list includes so many things that cost little to no money. Having fun doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
Agreed. I love activities that are no cost or at least low cost.
Those are lots of activities! I will share them with my cousin who is going nuts at home with the kids.
There are a lot more I’m sure I could think of too.
I will borrow some of these since we are already running out of ideas! We did a few activities back to back like the park and the splash pad and he got pink eye the first week of summer…. argh! haha
That’s to bad to hear. The splash pads are so fun too.
Love all the ideas and tips! I can’t wait to share with a friend who has little ones!
Great to hear! Glad you can share.
My kid is always hollering that she’s bored. This is a great list! I think we’re going to try building a fort and having a picnic.
I hate it when they say they’re bored. There is so much they can do.
