Minnesota Zoo Review

26 September, 2012 by KatBp 22 Comments

Ever since I asked my daughters if they wanted to go to the zoo they have been talking about it non stop. They are only two and three years old. When it finally came to the day we were going to the zoo they got very excited. It was roughly an hour and a half drive for us.

After arriving at the MN Zoo we got the kids in to their stroller and headed to go inside. They had some beautiful displays outside of the zoo. We stopped to see some of the statues outside to let the girls look and they loved them. They were very beautiful. They really know how to keep the outdoors clean as well as inside. After getting indoors we went to the desk to check in. All the workers were very nice and friendly.  They opened up more lines as more people started to arrive, so we were able to get in very quickly. I was able to go to the guest desk to get checked in.

We decided to go check out all the fish first. They had the most beautiful fish there. I have never seen such beautiful fish. They even had sharks! That was very amazing to watch. The starfish and seahorses were some of my favorites. This is definitely the place to be to see some amazing fish.

After checking out all the fish, we went on to see some of the mammals. We saw bears, leopards, prairie dogs, tigers, camels, Asian wild horses, and so much more! I was very fascinated by the prairie dogs. This was my first time seeing them in real life. I loved every second of it! They always seemed to amaze me. One of the leopards had babies and they were so adorable. I don’t think I have ever seen baby leopards before.

There were so many animals at the Minnesota Zoo. This is definitely a place I would love to take my kids to again. We all had so much fun. If your ever around Apple Valley, MN you should make sure to check out the zoo, especially if you have kids. They will love it. They even have an IMAX Theater and playgrounds for the kids. One of the playgrounds they had was really awesome. They had a bee hive for the kids to play in, a spider web, spider, some caves. My daughters enjoyed that playground a lot. I had a hard time getting them to leave.

If you’re every around this area you must check this zoo out. We all had so much fun. I’m so glad we had the chance to go. Don’t miss this opportunity if your ever in the area. If you have kids, they are sure to love this zoo. I know we all had an amazing time. We look forward to going again.

The MN zoo looks like a fun place to take the kids. The Cincinnati zoo is pretty awesome and has been a hot spot for my family since my oldest was a baby.
