Miracle Noodle Giveaway

I’ve had the opportunity to review an awesome new product called Miracle Noodles. Miracle Noodles are truly, a miracle. They are calorie-free, carb-free, and gluten-free, which also makes them guilt-free!

I was sent Fettucini, Spinach, Angel Hair, Garlic & Herb, and even Miracle Rice to review.

I thought that they would have arrived dry, but to my surprise, they arrived in these pouches with liquid (water) in them. The directions stated to rinse them, drain them, place in boiling water for about 1 to 2 minutes to blanch them, and then pat dry. Then you can put them in your dish, and they will absorb the flavors of whatever dish you are making.

There was a note with the noodles stating that there may be a slight odor when you open them up, and it’s normal and the odor will go away when you put them in your food. But to be completely honest, I smelled no unusual odor whatsover.

The first thing I tried was the Miracle Rice. I’m a HUGE rice lover. I could eat it at every meal and never get sick of it. But, it’s full of carbs and I’ve really been trying to eat more healthier, so I can’t eat nearly as much rice as I’d like to. So I was very excited to try Miracle Rice, which has no calories, no carbs and no gluten.

I made a pork chop and black bean crock pot recipe, which I always put over rice. But this time I made it with my new Miracle Rice instead of my regular rice. I drained the rice, blanched it in boiling water for a minute, and then patted it dry.

I made my pork chops with black beans and rice recipe in my crock pot, but I substituted my Miracle Noodles for my regular rice.

I didn’t know what to expect as far as taste or texture, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rice had a nice texture to it, and once I put it in my meal, it really did take on the taste of my pork chops, black beans and salsa dinner. It tasted just like rice, except I had no carbs, no gluten, no calories and no guilt!

When I cooked the Miracle Noodles and put them in my dishes, they turned out the same way. Just like the rice, you drain them, put them in boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes, then pat them dry and put them in your dish.

I really liked the Spinach noodles. I found this recipe online and thought I would give it a try.

“HEALTHIFIED” CARBONARA
4 packages Miracle Noodles (I used the spinach noodles)
8 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh peas
4 eggs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste
2 TBS fresh parsley, chopped
2 TBS grated Parmesan cheese

Open the Miracle Noodles, rinse with water and drain. Pat dry and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until slightly crisp; remove and drain onto paper towels. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon fat and heat in reused large skillet. Add chopped onion, and cook over medium heat until onion is translucent. Add minced garlic and peas (if using), and cook for an additional 1 minute. Return cooked bacon to skillet; add cooked and drained spaghetti. Toss to coat and heat through. Add beaten eggs and cook, tossing constantly with tongs or large fork until eggs are barely set. Quickly add 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, and toss again. Add salt and pepper to taste (remember that bacon and Parmesan are very salty). Serve immediately with chopped parsley sprinkled on top, and extra Parmesan cheese at table. Makes 4 servings.

As you can see from my picture, it looks amazing. And it tasted as good as it looked. The spinach noodles did have a slightly rubbery texture to it, but I think I may have boiled it a little too long. It took on the flavor of the dish, and I actually forgot that I was eating Miracle Noodles!

Miracle Noodles are great for people trying to eat healthier, lose weight, and especially for Diabetics who have to watch their carbs. This is a wonderful alternative to your regular starchy noodles and rice. I would highly recommend them.

If you’d like to purchase some Miracle Noodles, you can buy from the Miracle Noodles website. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter as well!
