If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.
About The Borrowers
They’re charming and small and live behind the wall. They’re The Borrowers, tiny people whose big family adventure is filled with some of the most eye-popping effects ever seen on film. Based on the beloved classic novels by Mary Norton, and starring John Goodman, The Borrowers is a film treat to be enjoyed by people of all sizes!
As you may know, we love to have snacks along with our movie. Most of the time we do a charcuterie board. This time we went with mini items because The Borrowers are smaller, so they need smaller portions of food. We thought this would be a great way to have some miniature food. This one was a lot simpler trying to find foods since they had a lot of mini foods. Some of the foods we included, were mini candies, mini cupcakes, mini Oreos, and more. It was a great snack board filled with goodies.
I’m not really sure if I ever did see this movie as a child, but I’m pretty sure I did. Either way, it was a great movie. I’m pretty positive I do recall seeing this one when it first came out though. I’m always glad to watch them again either way. I especially loved seeing this one with my daughters. We all sat down to enjoy it together and loved it. It started with a family of borrowers in a home, which the home was getting taken away, so the borrowers had to figure out how to help save it along with the owners.
Overall it was a good movie. Both my daughters enjoyed The Borrowers, and so did I. This is one that I would certainly watch again. You can grab the movie off AMAZON too if you’d like. Have you seen this movie before?
