If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.
About An American Tail
From director Don Bluth and creator David Kirschner, this critically acclaimed full-length animated triumph chronicles the wide-eyed adventures of a courageous little mouse named Fievel. Journeying by ship from Russia to turn-of-the-century America, Fievel is lost at sea during a ferocious storm. Washing ashore in New York Harbor, Fievel braves the perils and wonders of a strange new world in a thrilling quest to find his family. Featuring the voices of Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn and Christopher Plummer, it’s a rousing, heartwarming animated adventure for the entire family!
As many of you know, we love to do charcuterie boards to go along with each movie we watch. Since this movie is An American Tail, we wanted to go off the American theme and do red, white, and blue for the board. This was the perfect time to do a fruit board too. My daughters and I love fruit, so this was the perfect opportunity to have a red, white, and blue fruit board. Definitely a delicious one this time.
This movie was a favorite of mine growing up. I can still remember having a puzzle that my sisters and I would put together a lot that was An American Tail one. In fact, I might still have it around! I’ll have to check for that and hopefully do the puzzle with my daughters if I find it. It sure is a great movie, especially to see with your kids. If you haven’t seen this one yet, you should check it out. It’s a wonderful family friendly movie for all.
I highly enjoyed this movie, although I believe I did see it when I was younger, or at least one of them anyways. They do have a couple other movies that go after this one. I’m pretty sure I saw the second one anyways. You can always grab a copy of AMAZON if you’d like.
Have you seen this movie before?

Yesssss and we loved it. My grandkids have watched it now and they too enjoy it. So funny how movies that my kids enjoyed are coming back full circle for their children to enjoy.
