Movie #18 is Kindergarten Cop

If you have been following along my movie journey, you’ll know that my daughters and I are watching movies from a list I made. You can check that list out HERE if you’d like. There are a ton of movies on this list that I plan to watch with my daughters. These were movies I watched growing up, so I want them to experience these movies as well. We all sit down as a family each week and pick out a movie. We don’t always get to watch one a week, but we try.

About Kindergarten Cop

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in the unforgettable action-comedy Kindergarten Cop from director Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters, Twins). Detective John Kimble (Schwarzenegger) is a veteran of the mean streets of Los Angeles, ready and able to tackle anything. In order to trap an elusive criminal, he is forced to face his most challenging assignment yet: going undercover as a kindergarten teacher. Now facing 23 screaming kids, he has to keep them under control without blowing his top and his cover. Once he gains the respect of his class, as well as the affections of a beautiful teacher, Detective Kimble must prepare for a final confrontation with his prey.

Since this movie is about a cop who goes undercover as a teacher, we thought it would be fun to make the theme cop and kid related. We have some snacks here that we thought would be great snacks for kids, but we also have some items that may resemble cops as well. We did the round cookies for wheels on a cop car, the red and white pieces are for the cops red and white lights on the car, and then the long pieces of snacks are suppose to be like batons. The rest we thought kids would enjoy having for snacks.

I remember watching this movie when I was younger, and I always loved it. This was one that I thought my daughters would really enjoy as well, which they did. There were a lot of funny parts in this movie, but it can also be a series one with everything that happens, especially when John goes undercover as a teacher. Thinking about anyone coming in to possible harm children is so scary. It’s great to have those out there who can help. It’s such a wonderful movie too. If you haven’t seen it yet, I’d recommend this one for sure.

Have you ever seen this movie before? I wouldn’t say it was exactly a classic, but one that many people probably have seen already. This is a movie I could watch again and not be sick of it. I’ve always enjoyed this one, and I’m sure my daughters would watch it again as well. You can grab a copy off AMAZON if you’d to.
